Another Rainy Day

I remember when we suffered to have curls;   well someone must have told us we had to have curls.  I remember the girls trying to iron their hair to make it straight. . . never satisfied. . . we always seem to want what we don't have and fail to appreciate what we do.  I've just had a trip for a haircut and I must say short and sweet is the way to go. . . at this age even bald is beautiful....smile!!
This reminds me of a Bev Doolittle picture, the artist that hides faces in the forest and the trees.
Words of wisdom.   If we only believed how happy we would be.    Take time out and visit your church today, light a candle for those who are in need physically, emotionally, and just because you can.   Say a prayer for me too as I can always use one.

Another rainy day, well I like rain, a good thing or I'd be miserable.   Yesterday Pat and I went out looking to have lunch and most places are closed on Mondays.  We could fix something in house but that is not as much fun as going out and finding some one special treat we don't have at home. We did find some tasty chowder and enjoyed it, then went home to watch a Netflick movie with Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.  They  are two characters  who keep you laughing out loud.   A cup of hot tea, a cookie or two, feet up and relax, some way to spend a rainy afternoon.   How lucky I am to have a daughter who likes my company and believe me the feeling is mutual.    Rainy days are good to hunker down and do a lot of nothing but that gets old and we are happiest when busiest.   Today we will 'enjoy' another rainy day, or not..smile....but we have some work to do as we have some materials we can put together to make the special head bands for the upcoming Gallery affair.    A Spring tea if I remember correctly.   Our Christine is off on a business trip and flying off to a new spot today.  We will be hearing some tales when she returns.   She is enjoying sunshine and is having fun teasing us about our rain drops, well we wont get mad but we will find a way to get even.

Speaking of remembering, old age brings about some lesions in the brain;   periods of forgetfulness, but don't panic, the thoughts are there but take longer to go around and spill out again.    You would love to sit at our luncheon table and participate in a bit of conversation.   Talking about a movie we watched and cannot remember the title, the names of the stars but do remember some of the story line.   Working in tandem we finally can tell you the title of the film, who was in it...well not everyone, but one or two and the light and sparkle of remembering turns on.    All I can really tell you is that you are not alone, you are in good company and by the time lunch is over all the details are in place.  So sharing thoughts is good, keeps the brain active and that is what is necessary and needed...you wont find out for some years yet but learn to listen to the old timers as they have walked the walk and wont lead you astray.  Just remember sharing is caring so SHARE YOU with those you like and love.    Be a beacon of light with arms that stretch all the way around....'smile and the world smiles with you;  cry and you cry alone'   so smile today and do something wonderful for some folks you like  as you already do for those you love.    Add a few more to your list of favorites and make today a good day for all.   Hugs to all.
