Children - Fathers- Friends

When you see the pictures following and the folks in them you will understand one very special meaning of L O V E!!

Here is a dad that is a dad, loves his children, thinks his daughter is very special, and they often go off together;  a walk in the woods, a dirt path, birds and butterflies ....a day out with DAD!!!!   Ron Davis loves being a dad.

Patience as you wait for the fisherman to get to the lake.

Looking for the right place to stand....fish have special spots and these fishermen know just where.

Remember I blogged about Angel and Jock fishing...Here is proof.  Angel caught a BIG one.

Angel and Jock and that great big fish.....now that is a look of satisfaction!!

It is so nice to know and have good people in our lives.    Everyone has some good in them....a few don't want you to know, but the majority are fine with it.     Some folks are family oriented and they enjoy every second of parenting.  They love to teach their children, and children of their friends, some of the wonderful lessons they learned in life.    They have the kindness, the patience, and the love in sharing themselves with their protégée.    Jock is one of these men.   He takes time to make a shy young man a successful fisherman and hunter.   He brings out the smile, the chuckle and the pride that the young ones need.

then Rob, a happy family man loves his children and takes time to share with them as he whole heartedly enjoys teaching them all of the wonders he himself learned from loving parents.    How lucky his children are.    His better half is sweet and loving and knows how to 'rear' a happy family.

So fellows, my hat is off to you....I am proud to know you.    Loving you is easy as you are the good guys.

Speaking of good guys....I went to the Gallery and helped out today.   There was a showing...new artists work and there were new water colors that were exquisite;   acrylic paintings that were almost like a photograph, absolutely  fantastic.   The young lady photographer had some of her pictures displayed and they were outstanding.    I would hate to have to judge such a show.    It was fun to talk with the artists and learn a little about how they go about finding something to paint or to 'shoot'.  There was one particular photograph of a fisherman out in the middle of a lake at sunset , a study in orange and browns and it was awesome.   Reminded me of our Jock and his fishing on a lake.    The picture of the eagle about to land was really different in that she noted he was about to land and she watched carefully to push that button at the right time to capture the sun reflected within his wings.

We ladies set up the big table and the coffee pot was on;  the punch was made and plates of goodies from hardy sandwiches , to chips, dips, cheeses and crackers and delicious deserts from cookies to cupcakes.    It was the Sea Hawk football game and up here in the North West they do not do anything half way...a fan is a fan and you watch the game.  Too bad they didn't think to come over and celebrate at the Gallery and join us , but next time we will be more careful of our dates and be sure it is not on a football game day.    We did get some folks and they really enjoyed the show, they even said so, and made a huge dent in the food trays.

So my shoes are off, the program I've been waiting for is on and I have to say goodnight, sweet dreams and stay healthy and happy.    I'll be back.   I'm going to love you and leave you...Sunday..."Down Town Abbey"    last season....don't miss it.

Here I am, four thirty A.M. and having a cup of hot coffee.   The little piece of date and nut bread Doris brought down last evening didn't last long.   I am always glad to share things...like dates, nuts, and other goodies with Doris as she bakes almost every day, and then comes knocking at the door with something delicious.    A great way to start a brand new week.  So if you haven't baked some date and nut bread recently, think about it, and give yourself a treat.   If you do not like dates, then banana bread is tasty.   There are so many breads to make, all quick and easy and oh so tasty.   Food is your fuel...don't be bashful, enjoy it fresh from the oven and savor the great tastes that make you bright and beautiful.   Go, be a master chef today.   Hugs to all.
