Emma is hoping for visitors at the Gallery today.  She loves to help Pat mind the 'store'.  She is content getting lots of petting from visitors.   She is such a sweet dog, gives love easily and loves to be petted.     

I am off for blood work this morning.   I saw the doctor for my annual visit yesterday but I had eaten peanut butter toast and had coffee and didn't think about having blood drawn, so back again today.  It is going to be a very long morning.   We had a discussion about chronic congestion  which seems to worsen in the Spring when everything starts to bloom.    He was thinking more in the line of heart and decided I needed a change of high blood pressure meds.   I read the paper work after picking up the prescription at the drug store and I don't like what I read.   It all sounds ominous and more harmful as the side effects are scary.    I am not  pill taker so will have a problem if  I react in any way.   I wonder why the doctors give out prescriptions for pills that have so many things that can do more harm than good.   I  would just as soon not take anything and let the body slow down on its own.   One cannot live forever and watching those almost one hundred folks trying to make another day is not conducive  to positive thinking.  The good news is that I get to have an awful waffle when it is all over and done with.    I like waffles;  how about you;  with strawberries and a bit of crème....yum.....every thing has a way of working out especially when I have that first cup of coffee in hand...Ah!!

 

The power goes out a lot around here.    Half of the town was dark, but they came back on .  I gather there is always a lot of heavy wind up here and the power goes out a lot.  I have a new lantern, some battery candles so am prepared for the next onslaught.    It sure shows the dependency on electricity as the computers don't work and then ,like in the doctor's office, the clerks have a rough time keeping the files up.  Everyone is affected and it makes for some interesting catch up time.    It really is a good thing as it teaches folks how to think again.    A blank piece of paper and a pen comes in handy!!

 

So today, check your files and find out if you need your annual physical.    It is best to go once a year and make sure all is working as it should.    Health is better than wealth believe it or not and it is necessary to get that blood work done , once a year, to make sure everything is in working order.    If you don't take good care of  you ..who will??    So pick up the phone and make an appointment so if something is on going you can nip it in the bud.    

 

Be good, be kind, be gentle and spend a little of your precious seconds doing a good deed or two.     Don't forge bear hugs are fun and the feelings last a long while.   Share a few and find out for yourself.   Remember 'you get what you give' an old adage that is a truism.    So what are you planning on giving today?    Be wise, be thoughtful, be loving and enjoy every second of your Friday.   Hugs to all.
