climb

another truism;   choices....yep!   Ours to make or break.

I wonder why 'they' put a pipe in a swimming area and then put up a sign that says do not climb on it.;..;like the children will listen...yeah!!!

Some people tell it like it is.  .   agree or not, Obama is going down as the worst president ever and we have had some doozies.

I mentioned Christine's wedding soup and here is a picture of it.   I don't have her recipe to share but believe you can pick it up on Google.  It is really delicious made with tiny chicken and sausage balls and lots of spinach and other vegetables.  It is healthy and hardy and very tasty.   Don't be afraid to try it.

Hump day already, my the days go by quickly.   Sunshine ride to the casino in Poulsbo yesterday, abut a half hour drive to play a bit and go to the buffet which is very good with everything from Chinese to Mexican and American foods from one end of the room to the other;  deserts off on the end which is farthest away so you have a little time to digest before adding the piece of lemon pie or a few other sugary samples to your waist line.    A good thing we don't do that every visit.   It was fun and I didn't lose my shirt, in fact I came home with what I went with and put it away for another trip in the future.  That big win hasn't happened yet, but it could . . or could it?   um. . . time will tell....smile.

Here at Ridgemont it was very quiet, didn't see or hear a soul.   Made myself a cup of tea and grabbed my book.  I went to a book sale and one of the books I chose is "A Novel - Ireland" by Frank Delaney.   The writing is excellent and the story line different as it is about the itinerant storyteller  who arrived unannounced and told stories about  Ireland and its beginnings for a meal and a bed.  For someone who was not going to restock a book case;  I am doing exactly what I said I was not going to do and that is filling it up again.  I now have eight hard backs to read.  There is a library corner upstairs in the dining area with lots of book, but there is something comfortable about having a few books in a bookcase that makes it feel like 'home'.

To my friends in Brookings, Oregon, thank you for sending me the videos and news about the sink holes.   I hope the clean up is quick but from the looks of it, I'd say you are in for a very long haul.     Hopefully the detour takes you where you want to go and the city fathers get the new road in quickly.    I am glad not to be on that road, but I miss you and I miss my usual hang outs...Lone Ranch Beach;   the Port, fish and chips, the Lucky Seven, but most of all each and every one of YOU. I do miss my house, my yard , the humming birds and my one little garden snake that kept me company.   Time goes on, changes have to be made, whining has to stop and life goes on.  So, with that, I will love you and leave you for today.

You have work to do.  You have good deeds to accomplish and a day to make your seconds count.    Think, act, do something that will make someone you love and like glad they have you in their lives.     I count you as a blessing;  now be a blessing to those you meet and greet today.    A smile, a touch, a soft word and a big hug. . .works every time.  Hugs to all.
