Now here is a clever idea. Great for a child's room, or a reading corner , all it needs is a rocking chair. and a good floor lamp. As it is pictured here, it is perfect for a child. You can visualize one laying on the carpet , head on pillow, knees crossed and a book in hand...all the comforts of home. A belly flop wouldn't be at all bad.
Good morning. I spent a quiet day in yesterday and caught up with some of the puzzle, which is harder than I thought it would be, and my book, "The Spy" by Clive Cussler. I went up for lunch time and caught up with my table mates after a three day sabbatical. The ladies were glad to see me and not one had caught my had cold for which I was grateful. The conversation was about naming children. Several of the ladies have great grandchildren and have a lot of names to remember. The grandchildren all had familiar names but the great grandchildren had names I have never hear of. It seemed as though they sounded like 'winky, blinky and nod'. In our day the names were either family names or biblical; my the world has changed. We did agree it is one of the toughest jobs in the world, and that is to name your child. My children were not given middle names so that when they made their Confirmation , they could choose a name they liked, and they did a great job. Today, I am off bright and early as I have a job to do for Christine. She has a few chores she passes on to keep me busy and useful. That seems to be what makes us happiest...being useful. I do like to be useful...don't you? I know you do. So today, feel good . . . be active. . . get in some walking even if it is only around the house. Better still make short work of some cupboards you have been wanting to clean and get busy. Quit about lunch time and call a friend in to share a sandwich and a desert. Take time to catch up with each other and find reasons to laugh out loud. Be good, be kind, be gentle, be all you can be and shine. Hugs to all. |
