A New Day!

A  truism!!

A sign of a new day!

If we would only remember it how much happier we would all be.

A new day....another warm one..or even hot..but it is summer still heading into Fall and soon we will be griping and groaning about the change in the weather...summer cannot last forever, Fall is usually very beautiful and changeable and we learn to take one day as it comes whether it is good, bad or indifferent;  we just make the best of it and be glad that we can.   I have no big news this morning, fact I have no news this morning..smile!!  I had a good day yesterday, did a little walk around one of the thrift stores but didn't find any treasures.   I did notice the prices are higher and I wonder who sets the prices on the donated goods.    Like everyone else, I am looking for a treasure and really wouldn't know one if I fell on it...smile.    What do I collect?   Nothing, really!!  I just like to bring home a little something to decorate the apartment then donate it back and change the decor..smile!!  I am a picture person and my walls attest to that.   I have lovely paintings that make me smile.   Some have beautiful scenes of places that would be lovely to visit;  but seeing I cannot get there I can and do enjoy a 'walk into a picture' and let my imagination take me there....the ocean, the woods the roads to somewhere and mind travel is second best....I have a lovely Tahoe painting and I can visit there any time I want to.....relive a memory or two and that is not bad at all.    Of course I'd like to go back to the old haunting grounds , drive up into the mountains, walk along the beach and stop in one of those gaming places and donate my nickels.    A buffet lunch....yum....a good way to participate in the 'get rich quick' scheme of things....smile!!!

So back to reality, a new day, and I have to decide what I want to do today....have no plans but then opportunity does knock on the door and I'll put my shoes on and go out and enjoy the scenery and the company and might even treat to juicy hamburger and some fries....what shape???  Haven't had one of those in years,  been too busy feeding the one I have...smile!!!   So, decide what you want for you today and do it.....treat  a family member or a friend to a big Mac;   a chocolate malt isn't all that fattening especially when you know you will have to walk a mile to lose that extra pound....but...it is worth it...well, I think so.

Go...have yourself a day to remember.     A kind and good deed is a must, has to top your list.....be good, be kind, be sensible...but not too sensible....be that one person that makes for smiles when you walk in the door.    You do make it so easy.....how lucky we are to have YOU in our lives.....Be a lover with a sunshine smile and make your world a better place to be in.   Go.....be a ray of sunshine.  Hugs to all.
