EMMA!!

Emma says good morning.  She is very happy the Fourth of July is over and done with.   All that noise....all those fire crackers...she wonders what to like about all that stuff and nonsense;  ah....give me the simple life....no noise!!

We listened to all that noise, nope....not a favorite holiday although the left overs are tasty.  She has never turned down a piece of hot dog but has that steak pocketbook  appetite, and waits patiently for left overs.  Pat put on a good spread and we had no complaints as every tasty morsel disappeared.   Earlier in the day we rode over to the Mall and did a bit of shopping with Christine.   She is not a shopper and until she is almost thread bare, her old duds do just fine.   We had her in the store and trying things on before she realized that the two clothing maniacs had her in a booth trying things on...success...she did come home with a couple of new things.  I even found a new top.    Macy's Fourth of July sale and it really was a good one.   Not  a lot of shoppers on the holiday though, maybe they will go over today and take advantage of the sale prices.

All in all it was a good Fourth of July.  Now to get on with the rest of our summer and hopefully a little trip or two down the coast, or to the beach area which I have not seen yet.    Right now the sky is cloudless, not a breeze, nothing moving, not even a car or truck going in or out.  Everyone that is working today is in and parked.  The shades are still closed in the hospital wing which is directly across the driveway from this building I am in.   So, a new day begins probably filled with lots of surprises.   They have the heat on as there is smoke coming out of the chimney on the roof top.   The mornings have been chilly and spring is lasting a lot longer this year, or maybe it is just that I am anxious for some good summer weather.  Then you will hear me complain...smile!!

Have a good day, all day, doing the things you love to do best.   Have high Tea and invite someone in, or if you are in "I want to be alone" mood, cuddle up with a good book and relax and enjoy the summer sunshine.    Good idea...I might just do that today!!   Enjoy your day, be glad you are alive and well, be a messenger today and spread good news.   BE YOU!!!!   Be good, be kind, be gentle and enjoy your day!!  Hugs to all.
