A New Day

Looking out my window right now and I see these trees but not that color to the sky...yet....maybe a bit later, right now it is  breaking day light  and all is quiet. There are a few grey patches , maybe a shower or two today.  Whatever comes, comes....smile...there is little or nothing we can do to change the weather.  Most of the time we wouldn't want to. . . it is fine just the way it is.    I like a little more sunshine so I can walk out and about and get some fresh air and exercise.    The walk to the corner has little to offer other than making stronger legs as walking is one of the best exercises.   Yesterday was a good day both weather wise and exercise wise.    There was an open house affair at the Gallery and a good crowd came.   The table was loaded with delicious goodies of all kinds and the folks must have liked everything as there was little but crumbs left at the end of the evening.   The new show is really great and there are a few new artists who have much to say in their paintings and deserve a blue ribbon or two for the work they do.    Some folks are really talented.  Hand them a little brush an empty canvas and a little time and small miracles happen.    Nature comes to life and several have a talent for animals and make them come alive on the canvas.    One that took a prize ribbon was of four animal faces that made your fingers itch to touch.

The table was filled with goodies for all to enjoy and enjoy them they did.  It doesn't take us long to fill the trays and bowls with all of the delicious tidbits from brownies of all shades to cookies that defy you to pass one up.   There is always something there for everyone and not a crumb is left at the end of the evening.  I played at greeting for awhile and got such a kick out of watching a few of the little ones trying to decide which tidbit to choose.   The children are really good and a few take time to study the plates before making a choice.  You know they all go by the rule, one for each hand,  as they chew up the sample in their mouth.   Some things never change...and they should not.  Smile!!  All in all Ladies Night Out in Port Orchard is a success and fun.

I have a little paper that says May was named for the Greek goddess Maia.   I never heard of her,  have you?  It is the third and last month of Spring.   The Indianapolis 500 car race is held every May.  The Kentucky Derby is held on the second Saturday, and May is also OLDER Americans month....wouldn't you know it!!!!

So......go, have a good day, all day.....do something FUN!!!   Be good, be kind, be gentle and be a friend!!! Hugs to all.
