then a rainbow comes out and brings beauty to our world.
We had that kind of a day yesterday, a few rain drops and a lovely rainbow that filled our sky. Such beauty, a delight to see. An iffy day, was it going to rain all day? Was it going to have a little break and sunshine? Was it going to be windy? Well, it turned out to be a mixture for awhile but finally settle down to be a nice day; a spring day, if you do not like it...wait a minute and it will change. I invited Pat out for lunch and we saw a rainbow just like this from the restaurant window. Not as dramatic but very colorful and nice to look at. I couldn't talk Pat into sharing my clams so had to eat them all by myself..poor me!! I am for a refill, don't go away!!
AAH. . . hot black coffee, strong and tasty; a wake up drink , now to get a few ideas of what to write about. There is a lot of nothing going on right now. Most folks are ending lent and anxious for Easter Sunday and their first sweets after a long six weeks. I didn't give anything up this year, getting lazy in my dotage. We have talked about going to the Easter Sunday brunch at the Airport restaurant but no firm plan as yet. Ham at home isn't all bad and then you have left overs which is good. I imagine you are all anxious for lent to be over and are planning your Easter dinner. I hope it is all you want and expect it to be. I hope you will invite someone to join you and share taste and time on Eater morning. Here it is, Holy Week, preparation time for one of our special holidays. Sit back in your easy chair and envision pastel organdy dresses and Mary Jane shoes....wonder if they are still in style....I bet they are.
Here at Ridgemont I am sure they will have an Eater buffet for all to enjoy. The cooks are to be commended for their efforts as they do try to find tasty treats for us. I wouldn't say they find them all of the time, but, I have to give them credit for trying. It cannot be easy to come up with a menu to satisfy so many different palates. Our one hundred year old Doris came around with a plate filled with coffee buns. She does such a great job and delivers them with a hug and a smile. She is a wonder. We have another lady who is a great baker and she comes around with a treat for us. We are so lucky to have such caring folks around.
So put on your thinking cap and make up your mind what kind of treats you will share with those you like and love. Be Christ like and share YOU with those you really care about. Cook up something tasty, or buy some special chocolate bunnies and share them. Make Easter a day to remember just by sharing YOU with those you like and love. A hug, can't be without a few of those; a kiss on the cheek will make someone you like and love glow. It doesn't take a lot to bring happiness into your day.....practice.....keep sharing and caring and your world will be bright and beautiful just like YOU. Hugs to all. |
