Raining . . .

A truism!!

Good to know as we plot and plan events around town.

Good rainy morning;  opened the blinds to pouring rain, pitch black out there and it isn't even five a.m. yet.    Early riser, what can I say.....more of a chair napper these days as the muscles cry out when inactive to long.    This getting older is not what 'they' said it would be....it is truly move it or lose it so be sure to keep active so when you get to this point in your life you will be able to keep moving.   Yesterday was an 'in' day and I had a bit of company.   Vera stopped in and had her little dog Bingo with her.   Bingo is a pudgy older dog, not sure of  his breed but a cutie and loves to be petted.   He is well mannered and found a comfortable spot and hunkered down while we visited.  Most folks here at Ridgemont have cats.   Vera is a lovely kind lady who shares her baking with all of us.  One never knows when a little bag of goodies will be at the door.   She is a giver.  She loves to bake.  She is soft, kind, and caring.   A good lady to know as she adds a bit of brightness to our day.   I didn't know she collected angels so when she admired one I had hanging near my computer it was easy to tell her to take it with her.   I will go looking for another and replace it.   It will give me something to hunt for.

Christine and I had computer time exchanging ideas for the up coming Spring Tea.  The theme will be the Summer Solstice.  It was amazing what is on the computer about the longest day of the year.    We will have to do some hunting for little fairies,  floating candles and floral headbands.   An amazing theme to work with.  If you have any ideas don't be afraid to share them.

I am hoping for a little sunlight today so I can walk to the corner and back.   The legs appreciate a walk about.   The exercise room is next door to my room so I do not have far to go if I want to use the machines.   I usually like the bicycle  and look at the walking machine but looking is what I do best...smile.    I am a walker and going out the door and walking up to the corner and back is always good.  It has to be about two city blocks long so it is far enough to get in a little work out.  So off I go to the coffee pot for a refill.   I will put on the television and see what happened during the sleeping hours.   I have a huge coffee bun I saved for Christine and she didn't come to get it..um.....it is tempting..smile.
