Appreciate

And she is not kidding;  our lady of words is telling us like it is;  it is so easy to sit down, even lay down, but oh that getting up is not as easy as it used to be;  come to think of it, a lot of things are not as easy as they used to be....

My beautiful granddaughter Erin says I love you....she's a winner and such fun to spend time with.  We watched a tv show yesterday and had a snack;  a great way to spend an afternoon....granddaughters are such fun.

A Gallery weekend;  a new show;   let us  hope they have a successful show and everyone buys a piece of real art for their living room wall.   I have a couple of favorites hanging on mine.

Guess what!!!! A new weekend and a time change, I think I heard someone mention that we have to set our clocks ahead;  Spring...forward!!!   So keep that in mind when you set your clocks this weekend.

We were rained in again yesterday, the wind was up so there was no walking in the rain.  Wonder what today is going to be like.  I have not opened the blinds yet.    It is way to early to tell.  I woke up at three a.m. , not even the birds are up at that time...well Jock may be getting up to go fishing or maybe he is out chasing those wild turkeys again today.   He is feeling a lot better so that is good news and when he feels good it means going out the door to find something to do that he really likes to do.    Hunting...wild turkeys....or....fishing....ah, idstnace makes it hard to enjoy the fruits of his labors....fresh fish;   wild turkey....and in summer a garden filled with the best of vegetables and fruits.   You have to hand it to the wonderful gardeners who are blessed with green thumbs.

I will go back to my chair and turn on the TV and that will put me back to sleep...smile.

I played the mad housewife yesterday and changed the curtains and am ready for the summer season.    I had some fun trying to reach up and get the curtain rod into the little brackets;  not as agile as i used to be...wonder what happened..smile.
Anyway....the curtains are changed for spring and summer.   Looks pretty good I might add.   Today I will take a bit of dust off the furniture but, as you know, it is a labor of love and never gets finished;  dust is forever!!

A lovely lady neighbor brought me a little loaf of her homemade bread so I am off to enjoy.  I'd share if you were here.   All this rainy weather brought out the chef in some of our folks and I have homemade cookies as well.   So I think I'll open the door to day and put on the kettle for some tea;  who knows I might get some visitors.

So today, be a master chef...bake a cake...invite in a few friends and have a tea party, enjoy the company and find reasons to laugh out loud.    I am off to have seconds on my coffee and this time I think I'll have a 'big' piece of homemade bread with butter and jelly.    Want some?   Well, just don't sit there, come on over!!   I wish!!!  Be good, be kind, be gentle and loving as only YOU can be.
