Yep, looks just like me ..okay, I am off for a refill....anything to help me to wake up....and blog..about???  um....let me think!!!

There is nothing exciting to write about this morning as I was in yesterday, all day, no visitors, nothing special going on, just a quiet day.  A lot of the folks had taken off for the holiday weekend and not too many were up for lunch.    It was really cold outside so no walks to the corner.  I have a really hard jig saw puzzle on the puzzle board and did find a few pieces, but not many.   It is going to be awhile before this one gets finished.    At lunch the ladies talked about baking.  Christine had made some bagels and brought them over and I was telling the ladies about them.  They had never made bagels but had made doughnuts at one time or another.   Some had made fancy cakes and decorated them for church affairs.    I remember making a huge applesauce cake with chocolate frosting that went over well.    The voices were alive with memories of the good old days when they spent a lot of time in the kitchen.    Some miss it, some do not and you could not talk them into baking ever again.     Our weather is cold but clear, no sign of snow although we heard the word bandied around a bit yesterday.    I didn't walk to the corner and back because we had a cold wind.   Going up it would push me along, but coming back would be another story and I wasn't about to find out.   Getting thin skinned in my dotage.

I did play my records.  I did sing out loud.   I did find some puzzle pieces.  I did read a bit.  I did defrost my refrigerator and I did wish I were a million miles away on a sunny beach somewhere...that's what you do on a quiet holiday weekend.

So, I am off to find a bagel and put some creme cheese and jelly on it.  I am off for a refill and a new day.    I hope your day is a good one.  I hope you find time to share with family and friends.  I hope your health is really good and you find many reasons to laugh out loud.    Be a friend.  Be wise, be good and be careful....and have a good day in spite of yourself.    Hugs to all.
