Starlight, Star bright. . . Shadows in the night.

Good Morning.   How are you this fine morning?   I am not awake yet, but I am working on it.   That first sip of coffee ..aah!!  That home made egg Mac-Muffin...aah!!!   Quiet here at Ridgemont, not a creature stirring inside that I know about.  A few folks have had to get up and go out in the cold, cold morning and are parking their cars as they get ready for a new work day over in the hospital wing.    The refrigerator is defrosted and cleaned out.   All the little tidbits saved for another meal has gone into the waste basket where it should have gone to begin with.    Left overs, sounds good, then you forget about them and when you find them again...yuck...no one in their right mind would eat that...smile.    Maybe it is because it loses color, texture, or shrivels into a ball of nothing appetizing.   I should know by now if I don't eat it when it is served, I certainly am not going to eat it when it sits around for awhile.    It really is a 'diet' way without effort.    Calories we just don't need or want.   I have no idea why we think that left overs are eatable when they 'hang' around for a day or so.   I can tell you they take up space and there is a little bit of satisfaction in tossing them.

Smaller portions and less is best.   Live and learn our motto as we age...what is that...wisdom comes with age....well....sometimes.

Pat and I went hunting for some glass bowls for the upcoming Gallery planting party.  The last one was so successful the folks want another one.    Hunting for the right size and shapes is a challenge.  There really was not many choices yesterday.  Pat and I will have to wander off to one of the smaller towns and see what is out there.  We have time and it is always a fun job to do. 

So, I am off to fill another day with a bit of dusting; funny how it never does it itself ;  a thankless job but a necessary one.    Take a look around, if you can write your name on your table top then it is time to dust....dust...dust.     Have fun.   Be good, be kind, be gentle.    Make a new friend today.   Treat an old friend to tea.    Enjoy today.  Hugs to all.
