Stuff!!

Smile!!!!  We are hearing a lot these days...politics....words....thoughts...ideas.....blah, blah, blah, in one ear and out the other....say what you mean...mean what you say.....uh..uh...and we are waiting in high hope for a small miracle.
This has been around a few times but it is an excellent reminder to watch the pot before it boils over.   I bet you and I have mopped up a good number of spills in our day.    Too bad we didn't know about the wooden fork or spoon.    I would advise to keep one handy as holiday cooking is coming up.
Trees, bramble bushes, leaves are gone, the trees are bare and beautiful still as we follow the contours of the strength and character of the trees and the bramble bushes.    Take time to take a walk along a pathway and view the beauty and strength of natures gifts.

Here it is Friday all over again, didn't I just say that....seems so...laundry day for me and dusting which is a never ending job.   We had a beautiful sunshine day yesterday and Pat and I went out for our dinner to a place called Kellys.  I thought it was a new place but it turned out to be an old hangout and not as good as touted.   We ordered the special which was Prime Rib and I hate to say it was disappointing.  You would need a hack saw to cut into it.    Well we gave it a try but they wont be seeing us anytime soon.   I would say it is a local hangout and the folks who are familiar with it and are hardy eaters find it to their liking....me,  no way....I want to be able to cut my meat with my knife and not a hack saw.    Fussy, nope...just know when Prime Rib is really good and when it is served from the wrong end of the cow.   It is a little off the beaten path but not a bad ride.  Traffic here, in this area, is amazingly busy twenty four hours a day.   Miles of cars bumper to bumper no matter which direction you choose to go.

Meanwhile here at Ridgemont it was quiet.    Some of the folks had taken off  with family members or friends for a little change of scenery.   Vinnie has been a no show for a few days.   He had his VA checkup and is probably sulking because he had to stand on the scales and gained a few pounds.   He is a sweet eater and loves candy so if he gets out to shop you know what counter he heads for.   My neighbor, Evelyn, gave me three beautiful cups and sauces from her old collection.  She had forgotten she once collected them and when she was checking out a box in her closet she found them.   I gather she has more but these three she brought over to me to add to the tea party collection at the Gallery.   They are lovely.   I can understand why some people collect ups and saucers.   These were English made and lovely, delicate and I believe make the tea taste better. smile!

So, I am off for a refill.   I have work to do and want to get done early, although I have some time yet to go as it is only seven a.m. and I've been fooling around on the computer since five.   Well, I have to play scrabble and check out pictures to blog about.    I am using old materials and some you have seen before but when I don't get to take my camera out for a walk you have to expect that.   Maybe I'll have an adventure or two to share before this coming week is over.   The weekend is starting, Christine will be coming back from Denver with tales to tell and we will have a welcome back dinner and listen.    Maybe we should have pizza and a beer and put our feet up.  So today is a new Friday with the weekend to look forward to.    Put your feet up and find reasons to stay put for the weekend and enjoy quiet and peace.    If that is not to your liking, call in a family member or a good friend and find some things to do that pleases you.    Meanwhile be good, be kind, be gentle and treat your family and friends like you like to be treated.    Be a lover...hug a lot.....give and you get, isn't that a lovely old adage!!!!    Go.....be YOU.   Hugs to all.
