and a thank you to all the little ghosts and goblins that roamed Port Orchard streets last night. |

Zoey. . . the little jewel who comes to help out at many of our workshops, threads my needle, gives great hugs and is a smart little one. She was quite the flapper. |

John and Jo did some decorating. Bet that hidden goblin scared a few of the trick or treat folks; almost six hundred came knocking on the door. I cannot imagine that many out and about but when you live in a big city it happens. |
We almost had a rainy Halloween but it held off until the trick and treat little ones and their parents had a chance to visit the Gallery and partake in all the activities and get a treat or two. We set up and braced for the onslaught. . . and it came , starting about four and on going until after seven p.m. They came dressed up in all kinds of scary costumes. Purple hair, painted faces and decked out in all manner of costumes. We had set up the big table and put out a spread that satisfied all. All kinds of treats and some special little gifts for all. The Gallery folks should be head lined on the local newspaper today for the great job they did last evening. So many compliments. So many happy folks. It was the third year the Gallery folks put on a Halloween party and it is one of the best attended and enjoyed. We came pretty close to running out of treats; we had large buckets of goodies and trays of treats of cakes and cookies , popcorn, and candy and no one was shy about filling their bags. A fun time, happy families and a lot of folks take time to say thank you. Our King Louis played camera man. Our witch did a great job and as the saying goes..'a good time was had by all.'
All Saints Day . . . a trip to a church of your choice, light a candle for those who have gone before us and another for those that are still making their way. We are heading for more holidays with a Thanksgiving turkey dinner to attend or make; a time for a family gathering if you have one and a chance to adopt a few if you do not. Reach out as there are folks who need a bit of charity . . . the charity of friendship and love....only you can give....practice makes perfect so plot and plan now and be ready to share YOU with those you like and love.
Time to make a list for the Thanksgiving Feast. Time to plan the menu. Time to plan the guest list. Time to look around and see who is in need of a hug or two. Don't worry about how the house looks as it is not important; what is important is the folks you gather around your table , the ones you are thankful for being in your life. Don't tell me you do not have a family; all you have to do is reach out and create one. Go...get busy, you have lots to do. Hugs to all.
