Yesterday!!

The table was spread with all kinds of goodies for those who were out and about for Ladies Night Out in Port Orchard, Washington.

Good Advice

Paula's grandson, a football player hurt his knee and awaits an operation.  He is not a happy camper and worried.

Operation is over and all is well and the smile is back where it belongs.

Ladies Night Out was a huge success as a good crowd showed up at the Gallery and stopped to have a snack and visit the latest art show.  The 'hanging' was well done and the work of the artists highly praised, in fact a picture was sold , a lot of the artists cards, and a few of the special jewelry items went.   A successful night for all.    It was good to be out and able to greet the folks as they came into the gallery.    They had their special bag to fill and we had our specialties to help them fill them.   The little purses with the candy bars went over really well.   It was good to see that all our hard work was appreciated.    It was a first visit for some and the remarks that were overheard were good to hear as one lady said it was her very first visit to the local gallery and she had no idea how good it was.  She promised to come back and spend more time with us.   It is good to hear such remarks as the ladies work hard to promote events to bring the local folks in.    Daughter Christine deserves a medal for her work in setting up.   She thinks of herself as Katrina the Great, wonder where she got that from?,  smile....I know but wont tell......She worked hard to set up the tables in the main area which brought about a lot of hungry folks to the table.    Sally, the President, Bobbie the basket gift maker who does such a tremendous job, Pat and Erin joined in making the affair a huge success.  They had the kitchen duties under control and made it look so easy.   As   And our King Louie was there to tell tales and make everyone welcome.   The painting themselves were chosen for the long wall and they looked fantastic.   I've said it before, and probably will again, that we have some talented artists here in Port Orchard.I would say a good time was had by all and our next event will be the October Tea, so we workers get to do it all over again!!!

As an official greeter, I get to meet a lot of the town locals and love seeing the little ones.   There were a couple of cuties there last evening.  One little one in a stroller showed her baby doll and put on a little show.  She wanted me to see that her dolly could dance.  Really a cutie and I am happy to say I haven't lost my touch with the little ones.    I still do not understand the folks who have to take their dogs along with them where ever they go.   I think the folks who have a business should put in a doggie parking spot outside with a little hitching post.   Animals have no place inside a business with a crowd of folks around.    They are cute.  They are adorable.  They belong outside or left at home.  Well that is how I feel and I bet I am not alone.  Do I sound crabby?  Well, I 'm not...I just think pets have a special place in our lives and left at home in a big yard to romp in and not hunched up in a crowd.

So I am off before I get in trouble with 'words';   animals are fine..outside....not in a shop, on or near the table, or in a bed you sleep in....they are dogs...or cats...or animals of some kind and should be treated as such...so there...I am in deep trouble now...smile.  I am going to love you and leave you for another day.  It is Saturday , a day to be out and about. . .well, it sounds good, but I am betting my crew will be laying low today and resting up.  Off for a refill, check the mail ...and I hope you dropped a note or two.  Be good, be kind, be gentle and make today a 'good' one;   a little love, a little hug, a little of your time and your world will 'shine'.    Hugs to all.
