Love Bird

Love Birds....a little kiss on the cheek does wonders...try it today and find out for yourself.
Well I wouldn't try it with these two....'aint love grand?'
Wish I could remember the words to 'two little love birds sitting in a tree..... find someone to love today and be love birds.

News for today. . .  Erin beat the hurricane home and had a good flight and got in late last night.  She brought a head cold home with her so there are no hugs today.    She is up early, jet lag, and will probably go back to bed and sleep more today.    That is a long trip across country, but the trip from down town Seattle to Port Orchard only seems as long.   She did make good time and she was happy to be back.   I'll hear all about her trip east, but not today.

I had a quiet yesterday, did walk up to the corner and back and the weather was so beautiful, almost more like Spring than Fall.    The Fall colors have darkened and the leaves are not as beautiful as they were.    I'd say they crisp up when they fall so a slight breeze and they disappear.   There was no one out and about so the quiet prevailed, unless of course you want to hear the whine of the  automobile tires as they go bye.   The puzzle is coming along slowly, got a little more done than I expected.   I listened to records as I puzzled and time disappeared.    Humming is good when you don't remember all the words.    I had an Ann Murray record on and enjoyed the familiar tunes.  She has such a lovely voice.    Of course my Big Band records are favorites and bring back a lot of memories and a tiny tear or two.    Nothing to worry about, just goes with age I guess.   Memories can be good, bad and indifferent so it is all in what you make of them.

I had a box of dates I passed on to our baker, Doris, our almost one hundred year old treasure.  She bakes when she is bored and we all are treated to her latest baking.   She made date and nut breads and I got a big one which is delicious, just had a piece with my breakfast coffee.   It pays to share..smile.    She also made some peanut butter cookies which I have not tasted.  I think I'll  pass and give them to my girls.  I much prefer the date and nut bread...it is so good with creme cheese or just plain. yum.

So today, get busy and go out in your kitchen and bake a surprise for your family and friends.  Invite someone in and share.  Yep, said it before, sharing is caring.   So be a sharer.   Be a carer.  Be YOU.    Have fun and let a lot of laughter in today.    Chase the blues away.    Be kind, be good, be serene....what a lovely word.....serene.....peaceful...calm....and most of all loving......go....be YOU!  Hugs to all.
