Wonders

 To be different is to be beautiful.   This little cat is blessed with an abundance of color, a smiling mouth and beautiful eyes.    

I have no idea what this flower is called.   So unusual, beautiful , one of Mother Nature's spider plants or maybe a tropical orchid.  I have no idea but it certainly is a wonder.

I finally converted a large coffee can as a holder and it works great.  Just slice an opening in the lid of your  empty coffee can and  no mess, no fuss, and at the ready when you need a garbage bag.

Hump day, all day, and we had pouring rain yesterday afternoon.   Pat and I made a stop at Walmart as I have a small plant that needs some soil and a pot.   One of the clerks walked me to the 'yard' area and it seemed like a mile, only to find that they did not have potting soil or a pot.   Must be a change in season.    I walked back through the store and up and down the aisles for exercise then headed out the door to meet up with Pat .  I thought I had the  right door but found out an hour later I was wrong.  I made a good Walmart door greeter;  wonder if I should look for that job.   I met a lot of nice folks, conversed with a few, one lady was worried about me standing in the rain, but under some cover, and offered to find a store employee to go look for Pat and her car.    Pat was in the store walking the aisles looking for me.   I was outside waiting for her to drive up and pick me up.   We just didn't get our act together .  I finally walked inside and as I got to to the door there she was coming to look at this corner of the store.   To say she was unhappy would be generous.  I think I can no longer have a ride anywhere.   When you take a senior lady to a store and let her loose, you have to expect her to get lost, strayed or stolen.    You should give her a watch, a time, and both know the location so the mishap cannot happen again.    There is talk of getting one of those neck bells; like belling the cat or the cow...whichever, and it might work.  Oh well, it may be time to give up shopping and walking the aisles of the larger stores for exercise.   It might be the time to make a list and send it off with the shopper but I hope not.   Half the fun of going to the store is to walk the aisles and look at all the merchandise.    The Halloween 'stuff' was great and some folks will be all decorated up.    There was huge wire cat but to costly for my pocketbook.   I should have gone in hock and bought my daughter one as a peace offering.    Um....how to find ways to get back in good graces.

So today should be a quiet one.   Pat and I finished up all the Ladies Night Out bags and now they are ready for the folks to come in and get one.    Each bag is different, some Halloween style and all have a tea bag and a candy bar.   I think we filled about two hundred of them.   Chris tells me they have an open door on Halloween so maybe I'll get to  go over an watch the children come in costume.   Should be fun.  No, I wont dress up unless I can be the 'good' witch .  I don't want to be that wicked witch of the North.   We have time yet to buy more candy and put a plan together to draw the crowds to the Gallery .     Seems like they celebrate Halloween all month around here. . . not a bad idea;  where are those Hershey bars???   I like the ones with nuts . . . how about you?

Make your seconds count today.   Enjoy the rain if you are lucky to have a little storm today.   It is hump day so you have time to rest and relax as you plan the rest of your week.    Be sure you do some one good deed today and work on patience and understanding.   It isn't always easy, but it is always necessary.    Be magnanimous , cheerful,  generous with YOU.    Hugs to all.
