Bird

Swans have a beauty all their own.  This one makes a good plant holder and sits on my kitchen counter.   I need to replant the plant as it is in a tiny pot and the roots need to stretch a bit.

The bird puzzle is finished and it was a tough one , fun to do and so beautiful when finished.

This is my table decoration made from the leaves I find on my walk to the corner and back.  The pine cones too.    Fall steps inside for awhile.

This is a collector plate I have had for some years.   It was in pictured in a magazine one time saying it was worth something but I have never seen anything more on it.   It really is a pretty plate and I like it just where it is.  I have had the little elephant and mouse for years and named them Minnie Mouse and Hobo after some very loving friends who have been gone a long while.    The crystal is one that feels good to hold and a lucky charm.   Dust collectors but worth every swipe.

A new week, a colder one with a threat of rain, okay by me, winter can come on which probably means rain here but so far it has been beautiful.    I finished up a job for Christine and folded a few hundred newsletters and got them ready for mailing.   Pat came by and we took them over to the gallery before Christine could find the stamps..smile.  We went back to her house and watched the start of a movie on Netflick but we had to put it on hold as it was already dinner time.    We finally decided on a place to have our dinner and chose the little Mexican restaurant on the waterfront where the food is very good.   The girls ordered some fancy burrito but I had had tea and cookies mid afternoon so wasn't all that hungry and settled for a taco.  It was delicious, almost good enough for two, but I was good and had just one.     Pat has carried out the chef duties lately so it was time to take her out for a treat.    She is a marvelous cook and comes up with some very tasty meals.   

We heard from Erin who is having a wonderful break with her friend, catching up on the changes in their lives.   Uncle John has been playing chauffeur and is enjoying his time with Erin.    She and Jo have had some girl time and from what I hear the colleges she checked out do not have the classes she is interested in.   She is shortening her list so maybe if we are lucky she will find some place right close by here. We would like that.   

The new puzzle on the table is a tough one.  It will take some time to get this one together.    As I told you the other day, it is like an aerial view of Carson Valley.    There is some sky but the view is mostly of the valley with a massive amount of sameness in color so I may be awhile getting this one done.   Two pieces yesterday....rah for my team.....smile.

So I am off to find something to do with myself today.   The beginning of a new month, a new week, a new day...and I get to choose what I want to do...well, not really, if I had my druthers I'd be off sight seeing around the world...smile.    Beggars can't be choosers.  So, I will do my best to see what trouble I can get into and I'll let you know.
