Ah, the ocean, yep, John and I are going to take our yearly trek, not too far, but to the ocean where we will walk the beach and listen to the gulls and pick up a tiny shell or two. We are going for a long country two lane ride down the back bi-ways of Washington on to the big bridge over the Columbia river and into Oregon. We will retrace some footprints we left behind some years ago and we will check our favorite restaurant, the Dory, and have some fish and chips. Of course there is a casino there and I will get to put a few shekels in a machine and try for the big win. Someone won the huge lottery this past weekend but have not claimed it....I'd be camped on the doorstep for the office to open. Well beggars are always dreamers.
We celebrated Patricia's birthday and found our way to an Indian Restaurant over in Gig Harbor. I am not positive if I have told you about our trek out but I can tell you Christine and John did the ordering for our dinner and we shared some delicious dishes. I couldn't pronounce the names nor can I tell you what the food actually was, but, I can tell you it was delicious and I wouldn't mind going back for another dinner there. Maybe when Michael comes, although he is strictly a meat and potato man. and I doubt we could tempt him away from his steak. Although I asked the girls not to buy presents for Mother's Day, they don't listen and I now own a delightful tea box for my kitchen wall. Hand painted and lovely to look at and holds dozens of tea bags. They know I do have tea parties when I can entice one of the Ridgemont seniors to darken my door. Jock sent me a lovely bouquet of flowers and I have to admit they brighten the room and send smiles my way. I have a new Willie Nelson disc to play so I'll be humming along. So when I tell you sharing is caring, believe me. I have so many blessings to count . I try never to let a day go by that I do not tell my children how much I love them and the echo back makes my heart sing. So today, you have a job to do. You are to tell those you love, and even those you like, that you have a heart full of love just for them. Sit back and relax and wait for the response. You will be inundated with a wave of love that will make you glad to be alive. It only takes a look, one that shines with love. It only takes a touch of your hand and you open the heart of those you love. So open your heart today, reach out and touch someone. You will be very glad that you did. A song from your heart to theirs. . . "Three little words, that's all I live for, la, la, la, la, la....as the old adage goes....'grin and bear it' . . . the most important words in our vocabulary...I LOVE YOU!!!! and I do. Hugs to all. |
