WATERFALLS
I HAVE SEEN SO MANY WATERFALLS AS I'VE TRAVELED ALL AROUND FINDING EACH ONE DIFFERENT AS THEY MAKE SUCH VARIED SOUNDS.
SOME ARE HIGH AND THUNDEROUS AND SPRAY THE WATER WIDE WHILE OTHERS FALL SMOOTHLY CLINGING TO A MOUNTAIN SIDE
IT IS SO AMAZING TO WATCH THEM FIND A VALE OR GLEN AND FORESTS AS THEY FLOW THROUGH ROCKS AND SHALE
NATURE AT WORK SHOULD BE THEIR SIGNS AS THEY ERODE THE MOUNTAINS IN EONS OF TIME.

Are you thinking of vacation time this year? I would like to take my daughter Patricia to Yellowstone National Park as she has never been there. It is an amazing place and it does have a huge waterfall that gets a lot of attention. It is a wondrous place and one never tires of nature at its best. Everyone should take time out to visit the National Parks and not miss a one. I have been to several but there are some I missed and have caught up with them in the National Graphic magazines. What a great job they do to introduce us to faces and places we will never see. Do make plans and try hard not to miss out, life is short at best and there is so much to see and do.
Yesterday, I spent part of my day at the Gallery where the Student Show was on and a reception was held. The turn out was absolutely wonderful and the work of the junior high and high school students was remarkable. I don't know who the teacher is, but I can tell you she knows her stuff. The children came alive with thoughts and ideas of the very own and she led the way into making what I would call 'fine' art. Some were beautiful, some interesting, some fabulous in subject matter, color and style. The parents came and viewed while a Mr. Charlie Chaplin walked around complete with goggle eyes and a mustache. He was funny and made everyone feel welcome. The huge table was piled high with all kinds of goodies....several types and styles of cookies, brownies to die for, sandwiches of all kinds , fruits and dips and a delicious punch and lots of hot coffee. A huge success thanks to the Sydney Art Gallery folks. They deserve a big hand for a huge job well done. If you have an art gallery near you, don't be shy, go and visit and partake of the activities and keep your town alive. There are volunteers who give of themselves to make your town a better place to live in. they give freely and willingly to work for hours making a special affair come to life. You might even think of joining 'the board' and give a helping hand. There is room for more willing hands, besides it is fun. You may be the one addition with a lot of good ideas for future receptions and the wonderful teas that you can put on to make your town come alive. Here in Port Orchard we have several men who not only are excellent artists but give feely of their time. One or two have the knack of pouring tea, not an easy job as that tea pot can be heavy when full to the last drop. Wonderful small affairs that bring the folks together with pride, love and laughter. Be a joiner and do your bit.
Start your week with some good ideas of how YOU can be a shining example of making your corner of the world a bit lighter and brighter place to be. Our world needs help and it starts right in your own corner of the world. Be good, be kind, be gentle and set an example as only YOU can. A smile, a soft touch, a willing ear...um....means a lot to someone today, think about that. Hugs to all.
