Misty Morn

How lucky we are to see the sunrise.   no matter who takes the picture, when or where, it sends us a delightful reminder a new day is beginning. . . Make it worth all of your seconds and add a bit of flavor to your day . . . no sour pickles allowed;  just a smile to brighten your world and it becomes catching...so pass it on!!

I have seen Lake Tahoe many times over the years, but never from space.   I had no idea it was oblong. . no matter what the size or shape, it is one of the most beautiful lakes in our world.

All you have to remind yourself that you will attain this tier in you life, it just takes time to get there.

Now repeat after me....I am not hard of hearing.....it is just that your voice is soft, speak up and I will hear every word you say. . . .hearing aids cost thousands of dollars I don't have and at this age, I agree with Maxine, I have heard enough....just use the e-mail and I'll stay up with the times.

The morning fog prevails and it is cold outside as the car roofs are all frosty white and the workers are moving fast into the building next door.    I felt the studio was a bit 'hot' this morning so I opened the door.   Amazing what you see when you open your eyes and look at what surrounds you.    The mist of my breath on the window left a small circle of fog and within were the shapes of the tree limbs from across the way.   Amazing.    Beautiful.    It felt so good to feel the fresh air, cold, yes, but invigorating.    I have grown lazy in my 'old' age and feel a little ashamed that I am to lazy to get dressed until later in the morning.  It isn't that I am lazy, honest, I have a dozen chores to do and I do them but wearing sweats covers a multitude of sins and it is so easy to move about.    I changed the bedding today;   turning the mattress was a bit of a chore but I did it.   I put on the new sheets and took off one blanket as this smaller space does not require two.   Today is my laundry day so I am looking for a cross word puzzle to do.  I prefer the one that you change one letter for another and come up with the saying they challenge you with.    If I time it right the wash will be going on while I am at lunch and then I can come down and dry it, do my puzzle and dry my clothes....a chore that gets tiresome even though it does not require a lot of effort on our part.   I'd make my millions if I could come up with a machine that washed, rinsed, dried and folded your clothing .  I think the experts are working on it but it takes two or three machines to do it now.    I shouldn't gripe and groan about laundry;  after all I spent many years washing by hand, hanging clothing on that four peg dryer in the sunshine and had to take them in, dampen them down and iron.   I used to love to iron as I could iron away all my mad....yes, I had a mad or two in my day...by the time I ironed out my harangue starting with my husband, and worked down the five children and the dog, I really lost my 'mad' and actually forgot what I was 'mad' about.   I wonder does anyone iron anymore?   It used to be one of my favorite indoor sports.

So,. if you own an ironing board, get it out and tackle a few pieces.  It is a time for thinking.  A time to put things in order in your mind.  A time to forgive.;   A time to forget.   It is seconds of bliss as you have the satisfaction of making wrinkles smooth and beautiful.  Now if you could find a way to make our  faces wrinkle free we would be 'young' forever....oh that is a sad thought, there is so much beauty in an old face.  Look around at some of your ancient folks and appreciate them wrinkles and all.   Give them a hug, a tiny kiss and a few special words that say I love you, today, yesterday, tomorrow and forever...and mean it.   Hugs to all.
