Good Morning!!

A new day....say a prayer for a 'good' day...all day.....get up, do something wonderful today and be sure you bend the knee in thanksgiving for a new day!!

Good morning....How are you this morning?  Fine, I hope.    Clear skies this morning, a little light lavender in the sky, blinds closed in the hospital unit and silence is profound. . . 'not a creature stirring';    cars all parked, workers doing their morning chores and I have been up for hours, why?....who knows?  I don't...just not a sleeper in.....must be the coffee calls and I am enjoying my second cup;  stop in, I'll share!!


I enjoyed my stint (interesting word meaning time ..... wonder where that word came from) ....at the Gallery yesterday.  The new showing is of birds and it is a delight to see.   It was fun to 'man' the desk with daughter Christine and visit with the folks as they came through to see this new show.    Daughter Patricia came and rescued me and took me to the grocery store for some needed supplies.  I found a few 'special delights' ...non fattening , of course....smile....if you believe that you believe anything .....I just had a cinnamon roll with my breakfast coffee,  no calories in those...smile......I think that is called wishful thinking.....

Quiet out there in the parking lot, cars are parked, shades still down, no breeze this morning the trees are still, the sky a pewter shade.    No complaints, especially when you think of the weather and activities of other places in our country where the weather is acting up and folks are hunkering down.    Hurricane season and not shy about starting off with a bang.    So, I am off to start my new day, after I watch some news on television, have a refill and put my feet up...then, I might dress and motivate for the day.....or not...smile.....retirement is a time of hazy and lazy and you get away with it.  

So.   I am going to turn the news on;  wonder what the hurricane is doing?   I hope folks stay safe and sane...not fun to live through as we use to find out when living through them some years ago.    I really do not miss them....smile....fun in the sun is much more enjoyable.   A new cup of hot coffee,  news on....I'll see you tomorrow;  have yourself a 'great' day and do the things you love to do with the people you love to do them with.     Go!!!! Be YOU!!!  Be good, be kind, be gentle and share YOU with those you love and like.   Be a charmer....make folks laugh out loud , tickle their funny bone, and be the best kind of friend you can be...you know how to do that so well....YOU are great...G R E A T....as 'tony the tiger' would say.....so go.....be 'great' today.    Practice makes perfect so don't give up trying...think of all the folks you love and 'touch' each one today... a hug, a phone call, a visit...be YOU and do all kinds of good deeds today...makes you a better person ...um..how can that be????  YOU are already 'The Best'.    So go...'show off'...smile, it is okay....just do it.   Hugs to all.
