My lovely floral bouquet is beginning to look like this. I know, it cannot last forever, but it should....so beautiful and sad to see it shrivel up and die. I'll salvage what I can, but it wont be much. Every little bit adds to the beauty of space but time takes its toll. Um.....better not look in the mirror or I'll see how close I am to those words....smile....does a short haircut count for longevity? If so, I'll last forever!!!
Morning light, cars are parked and the workers in the hospital unit. Some have a cup of coffee in hand, some walk spry and quick and then there are a few who don't rush but 'saunter'; smart, take time to smell the roses and breathe a bit more fresh air before going inside for the day. Going out is fun, I had a ride to the casino yesterday and lost my shirt...but that was expected..ha,ha....the luck of the Irish..ever hear about it? Well, let me tell you.......smile!!! Those leprechauns know how to store their cash. I keep looking for the pot of gold but so far no luck. I play keno but have not found the right combination of numbers yet....but half the fun is in the trying.
I am looking out the window and there are four silver cars parked out in front this morning. Silver must be the new color of the year. Two of the workers are going by and one is redoing her pony tale, long and thick, and the young lady seems to know just how to twist her hair into a braid. My new hair do is a good inch long...smile.....one step from 'bald'. Glamour goes with age they tell me...um.....makes me wonder if I'll ever get there....an inch from the scalp, hand brush and go...suits me!!!
So, no more news today, everything is quiet here at Ridgemont. I had drop in company...Vinnie came with some magazines so I have some new material for today. Lois came for a cup of tea and a visit which was nice. The cookie jar is empty again so you know I have to shop today. I hope you have a full cookie jar and friends to stop in and sample. I hope that you have a 'good' day and enjoy the sunshine and a bit of wind to keep you cool. It got 'hot' yesterday, the weather showing us where it is heading and what we can expect now that our seasonal changes are coming about....not sure I am ready but there is little or nothing you can do about weather....just accept it. Right now I am watching a young lady park her 'wagon' and she has parked crooked and very close to a car already parked for the day. Someone is going to have a tough time getting into their car. Someone is going to be having a 'hissy fit' when they come out and want to get in their car to drive home. Some people just do not think....sure make it hard on others. So think....be good today and do some good deeds and park right...smile. I'm off for a refill. Hope your day is a 'good' one and you find love and laughter in your life. Share it....be YOU!! Hugs to all. |
