Spring rains prevails and we are hoping for a bit of sunshine for a fresh air walk today.    I played Lady of the Manor yesterday and entertained a few of the folks.    Vinnie  came for a visit bringing some large green grapes and some magazines.  I had him take the magazines down to the laundry room to share as I have more than enough reading material to get through.   It is either a feast or a famine.   My wait to read books are piling up, either I am reading slower or some one else is reading faster..smile.  Daughter Patricia came to help find some puzzle pieces.  It is one of those difficult ones, and it will take some time to get it finished.  The table is at its busiest so we use our laps for a table...look Ma, no hands...only a few crumbs spilled.   Donaleo sent over a rice dish the other day and I had not gotten around to tasting it, but, I had it yesterday and it was delicious.   He does a lot with rice dishes and makes them taste really good.   I am not sure what seasonings he uses but as long as he likes to cook, I like to eat...pampering comes to mind.  I still miss my stints in the kitchen. I like to cook.  I like to bake . . .but . . . the need is less and I am getting old and lazy.   I  don't have to bake as the girls went on a Costco trip and I have some cookies in the cookie jar , filled to the brim, so wont have a need to bake and by the time I get that urge it will be time to shop again.  Older means old age catches up with you and the wish to be forever busy fades.  It is okay though as the young ones need their turn.  I am more than willing to let them have it...smile.

So today, give up your time in the kitchen and let someone else have a turn.   Sit back, watch some television, or, read awhile.   There are some fabulous books out there.   I have a Robert Parker novel going called "Rough Weather" which is hard to put down.   You know what I'll be doing later today.   I still have not dusted....I usually do that on Fridays, but this week I just forgot..I'm forgetting more and more about all kinds of things.  You would think I was getting on in years...smile.....

So today make your list, check it twice and get on with being naughty and nice....do some things that make you smile.   Do some things that bring love and laughter into your day.   Be a Spring Robin and enjoy whatever kind of weather is sent your way. Hopefully some sunshine, although Spring rain is not hard to take.   Trees are budding.  Take a walk a look around you.    Enjoy today.
