Just remember this and do not respond to negative people; let them 'stew' in their own juice. Be YOU and be a role model of love and laughter.
It must have rained last night but I didn't hear it. I opened the blinds to a wet pavement out there. The hospital windows are all dark, but at this time of the morning they usually are..Yes, I know, its me...I get up before the birds, the sunshine, the wind and the rain. Late to bed and early to rise. I'll be right back, off for a refill as that first cup disappears very quickly , almost like not having any.
AAH!!!! Hot coffee!!! There is nothing like it to wake you up to start your new day. By the third sip the fingers are ready but the mind is blank. I had a good day for the most part, although I am concerned for our little Ginny who seems to be failing. She was not herself yesterday at lunch time and there was a noticeable difference in her behavior. She seemed lost. Getting old is half the battle in life but for some it is a definite challenge to just get up and keep going. In a senior residence you get to see all stages and some of it is a bit scary as each of us has to take our own turn around the hazards, and our own pace, and getting older seems more of a challenge as you face a brand new day. Some of us are lucky and have good health. Other have a huge challenge to face for the day. It is a blessing when you see some go out of their way to make others laugh, even the curmudgeon forgets to scowl. So remember that today and do your best to be a light at the end of the tunnel for someone you know and love and even like....there is some good in all, you just have to look for it.
I did go to the Gallery last evening and helped to make some more of those floral headbands. I hope that someone remembers to take pictures when folks are out and about wearing them at the Spring gala. We enjoyed some pizza along with some chatter so a good time was had by all and a lot was accomplished. A good group of ladies, so willing and so good about getting things done for all occasions. They take pride in their town and it shows. Like every where else there is that one group of ladies that hold the work crew together and get things done. We are so lucky to have them and their talents. So ladies, if you are reading my blog this morning, know how much you are appreciated, we just could not do without you.
Go..get on with your day, be good, be kind, be all you can be today and every day. Visit the sick, visit someone who is just lonely, be a robin today...Spring!!! Hum, whistle, sing out loud and spread a little bit of joy where ever you go. Hugs to all. |
