More of the Lake....Sure is lovely

The invitation to making a terrarium at the Gallery this month. It should be fun as the price of the ticket includes all of the necessary makings as well as some wine and cheese.  I plan to go and I'd take you with me if you were here and not there....sigh!

Tuesday all day, comes around fast when Monday disappears in a blink of an eye, and our Erin is up and on the road back to Hawaii for another few months.     We are going to miss her.    Our farewell dinner was a special beet spaghetti which proved to be very tasty.   It was healthy with all kinds of tiny seeds and nuts.  It was her farewell cooking for us and delicious.  She never did get around to making those special pancakes of hers, time just got away . . .but. . . she'll be back before the year is over, at least we hope so.   I am going to miss spending time with her.  We  'hung out' , watched movies, gabbed as precious seconds flew bye.    

Doris came by with breakfast muffins she had just baked.   It is hard not to eat them right then and there but I was good and saved them for breakfast.   She stayed for a short visit as her cake was cooling and she was going to go and frost it.    This woman is a wonder, tiny, smiling eyes, so giving and so sweet;  almost one hundred years old, a marvel and so special.  Our world should have a Doris for every household; my, what a wonderful world it would be.  She is a prime example of what being 'old' should be.    She is a baking Mother Teresa and gives the best hugs.   A true keeper.

So today, let Doris be an example of what a good neighbor is.    Check your neighbors and make sure all is well.  Bake something and share.    Be a good neighbor.    If you don't want to bake, check the cookie jar and share some with a cup of tea.  A three o'clock tea party is always fun.   

Be good, be kind, be gentle and be a good neighbor.     Sharing time begets friendship and we need all of that we can get.    Now to practice what I preach and be a good neighbor today...I have a whole can of peanuts to share;  wonder if I have some baggies.  I'll go look, that will keep me busy for awhile.    

Plan your day so you can share you with those you like and love.    Be a messenger of hope today.   Don't be stingy with the hugs, go make someone glad they know YOU.    Hugs to all.
