Weather

I haven't heard yet if the two hurricanes made it to the Hawaiian Islands yesterday.   Reminds me of a cat with its haunches up , or it could be telling you it is not a happy cat.

This is what the scale looks like after an evening work party , pizza and wine at the Gallery when the group gets together to talk about the upcoming event and what to do about it.
Our sky has a little of this shading this morning.

The Ridgemont group took off in the little bus yesterday for a ride around town, lunch at the Bowling Ally and off to a few areas to check out.   I missed out as I had not noticed the sign up sheet, but, I was rescued by  Christine and went over to her house to join her in a trek to the Gallery and the meeting to decide on an idea for the upcoming Ladies Night Out here in Port Orchard.  Several of the ladies came up with good ideas and one talented lady brought in a sample of a small purse made out of wired ribbon that is not only cute but useful.   That is what we will be making for the October event.  It should be easy and it will be fun.   Pizza and wine are served as it is a dinner time meeting and you know food always helps to activate the brain into coming up with wondrous ideas.  I don't know whether or not the wine does much for thinking;  but.  . . I am sure it must help activate the thinking process.  Louie was there and wanted us to come up with an idea for a zipper pull as he has one arm in a sling due to over exertion which for some reason or another he cannot keep idle as there is always some one thing that needs attention and it always means using the over used muscles.   He could put it in a sling and not use the arm for awhile and let it heal, but being a man of action, he just cannot take time out to rest.  One day he will learn, the hard way, that he could have and should have taken time out, but, like the rest of us, we have to live and learn for ourselves.

Off for a refill.  I'll be right back.

Aah,  I thank God every morning for coffee, hot and black,

When I made a date to go off with one or both of my daughters, I am usually on Skype and our conversations are always quick and easy.   Yesterday I skyped Christine about coming over to pick me up and the response was "I'll be right there."   So I went down stairs and went outside to find it was raining.  There is a little white summer chair on the patio there so I sat and waited and waited and waited.  Folks came and went.   Some visited.   But no Christine.    I enjoyed watching the traffic go by, most of the new cars are  pure white this year, and it was fun to meet and greet folks coming in and out....but still no Christine.  I finally went back upstairs to Skype her and she was sitting by her computer waiting for me to tell her when I would be ready.  I thought I had. . . she mentioned it was retrograde time so it was bound to happen.   I think our conversations will have to be longer in the future.

So today, try not to get your 'wires crossed' and meet and greet each other with a hug and an eye filled with love.    Go out and about and enjoy the day.   If all goes as planned Pat and I will be out looking for those tiny creatures for the terrariums....somebody has to....and we volunteer!!!!  So be a volunteer today and see what kind of mischief you can get into...it is good for you....honest!!!  Hugs to all.
