Art!!

There is a painting at the gallery that looks just like this.  Of course you smile...ah memories of Monday wash day and on through the week...living at its best!!
Bringing the outside in.....the talent of an artist!
Sunday bright and beautiful, soft winds, thank God, and inside and outside the gallery the showing of some really fantastic art done by the local artists of Port Orchard.  Even the entrance porch had tables set up and held a display of art bits and pieces along with an array of antique items.   The choices were many and difficult to decide on.    A beautiful Sunday to be out and about and many folks took advantage of it.   One of our talented artists set up inside and started a painting and folks stopped to marvel at her talent and wish they could take a paint brush in hand and make a small miracle of a beautiful scene to please the eye and the heart.    Art does it all, but it takes an artist to bring it all to life.

We  had three artists set up and holding a tiny brush in hand brought a scene to life on a big blank canvas...so beautiful, such talent, and they really do make it look so easy....the thought is there to take a brush in hand and see what you can do but those of us who paint by number wouldn't last long.   It reminds me of going to a shop where they sell yarn or fabric and you want to buy and buy, only you know that you need the special talent to go with it just to make use of the materials and most of us have the desire but not the talent.    Well, come to think of it, we all have talents..but...the proverbial but.....we may not have artistic license that goes with it.

So, it was a good day,  all day, and maybe that urge to paint a beautiful picture will pass.   smile!!!

Make your today bright and beautiful.    Don't forget the one good deed that brings love and laughter into your life.    Be good, be kind, be gentle ;  no temper tantrums as they are so unbecoming!!  A smile lights up the world around you...so...smile!!!!   Hugs to all.

  1. How lovely this post is Jean. I remember how I loved painting and coloring as a child. I also believe that in every child is a budding artist.
I retired from a long career with the USPS in 2005 and began to seriously teach myself to paint and weave words together. I love being creative and I can see that you do, too.
How wonderful that you are in your 90's and loving life as you do.
This is a wonderful place to visit. I'll return again soon...Jan
