Yep, I am walking up...a bit late this morning. Did some reading in the wee hours....and now it is time to wake up and start a new day. Good morning. The usual quiet, the light blue sky, no wind of any kind, nothing moving in the parking lot, all parked and in for the morning. The blinds are drawn over at the hospital wing and not a 'creature is stirring, no even a mouse' .......hold on...I'll be right back....time for a refill....
AAH!!!!! Coffee!!!! My expression is not like Garfield...but close...smile.
Dinner at Pat's was 'over the top' as the expression goes; halibut....so tasty and so good for you. Fresh asparagus goes well with it but the samples of four delectable deserts from the local bakery was the piece of resistance as we gobbled it all down. There is no such word as 'diet' in our vocabulary; there is no stopping the taste buds from enjoying every morsel and poor Emma does not find a crumb on the floor. Jock was happy to share his catch with us. We were happy to be able to share time and goodies with him. He leaves us today, goes back home and hopefully off on another fishing trip or two....but hopefully a return in the near future. Our weather was perfect and we sat out on Pat's front porch. There is a little tree planting on going as she wants to have a shade tree for her front porch...not for some years yet...but a start...smile. I think, if I remember correctly she now has two shade trees planted . . .so. . . in about umpteen years they should shade the front of the house; patience is a virtue. . . maybe they will be fast growing....but...they are planted and they will grow. We enjoyed our time together and was a little disappointed that Louie's opening event was cancelled as we planned to go and wish him well with his new studio.
I hope you had a fun Sunday and shared you with those you like and love. I'll be looking for some e-mails telling me all about your weekend. I hope you found fun things to do, good folks to share time with and had some meals to brag about. I hope you found reasons to laugh out loud, and enjoyed your seconds. Family, friends, sunshine and good food all packed into one day....that is what Sundays are for. In fact every day should be a sunshine day just because you can make it so...go...make a sunshine day and share it with those you like and love.....I'd love a little of your time but distance makes the heart grow fonder and b.s. makes the days grow longer as that old expression goes....it just means you are missed when distance is the name of the game. Go.....be a harbinger of laughter and make some one be happy that YOU are in their life. I am.....even if it is only shared words. Be good, be kind, be gentle. . . be YOU!! Hugs to all. |
