Good Morning!!!!

I am about to take a ride on my broom....thought you might like to come along!!!

Good morning.  I've been awake for hours,  why?   Who knows...I don't.  Just some mornings are like that or should I say nights?    No rhyme or reason just awake and I spent time looking at the paintings on my wall.  I have an excellent collection, six , by count, all originals and all with a story to tell.    I will have to think about getting some paints and see what I can create....must be something that would make my world a better place ....but, I'd need more wall space...smile!!

I have not opened the blinds..it is dark out there...smile!!!   I have been up for hours, not sleepy....maybe a chair nap is in the offering....but, there is a puzzle on the  table so you know I cannot just leave it alone. 

A new day, hopefully warm and sunny for a walk to the corner and back....but...I think we are in for some wet weather today...not sure, haven't turned on the television and news of the daily weather.    A little rain wouldn't hurt and I do like a rainy day...don't you?    If I had galoshes and a rain coat I'd go walk in it anyway....nothing like a walk in the rain...snow would be even better....smile....or not....depends on your own likes and dislikes....some prefer to be a hot house plant and then there are 'us'...smile.

I hope your day is a good one, filled with love and laughter.    I am off for a refill..coffee...aah!!!  Wish there was something good to go with it....oh well, toast is toast with a bit of jelly it has to do.   Make the best of what you have....it is the only way to save your day...smile.....going to love you and leave you....off to catch up on some snoozing..turn on the t.v., hunker down in my easy chair and off I go....I'll be back!!!

Good Morning!!

Fall Colors does a lot for awakening the love of Fall in us.....bright, beautiful, changing colors before our eyes and I picked up several to bring back for my little hall table yesterday when I walked up to the corner and back.   Nature wearing Joseph's coat!!

A new day.  A beautiful day to share with those you love and like.   

I could't resist....I haven't made up my mind yet this morning, but....I am working on it....seconds needed for coffee...I'm off to fill the mug....want some????   Come on over I'll pour you a cup.

I have three dried leaves on my desk this morning;   a very deep amber, a russet shade with veins of red and a mixture of colors with veins of deep red and one golden leaf with thin red lines  to define the shape of the leaf.     They are really beautiful and a little memory of a nice walk outside yesterday, not only to the corner, but up the road by the baseball field, a bit hilly but doable .  Exercise, fresh air, and you really never meet a stranger as the folks walking bye manage a hello and a smile.   Walking out in the sunshine doesn't hurt a bit...smile!!

So, today a new day begins, the shade is drawn, cars are all parked in the lot and a new work day  begins for those in the hospital wing.   All the shades, but one, are closed and that person is watching television, shades up, light on and probably the only one over in the hospital wing awake at this time of the morning....after five thirty, I think....haven't looked at the clock....it only tells time...smile....

So I am off for a refill, turn on the television and see what has happened in the wee hours.   I have no special plans for today but would love to be making some....a trip....yes, I'd like a trip off to visit old friends and a bit of family....but I don't think it is in 'the cards' today.   I will be plotting and planning a trip to the corner and back as I think the girls are busy...something to do with grapes.....Chris has a small arbor and the grapes are ready for jelly making and they don't wait when they are ripe and ready for picking....I like grape jelly on my toast, so....I'm not going to complain.   I'd offer to help but you know that old adage of too many cooks in the kitchen....my day has come and gone even if I do not think so...smile....but I can always help by having a jar or two in my cupboard after they do all the hard work.   Old habits die hard, and this getting older may slow us down but it doesn't cure that old adage about being young in heart but old to soon....but there is something about passing the baton that is truly pleasing as you get to sit back and let someone else do all that work.

So, I am going to love you and leave you to making your day a good day, all day...go.....enjoy your seconds and share you with those you love and like.    Be happy today!!  Hugs to all.

Beauty is everywhere as the leaves fly free in the morning light...go see!!

A masterpiece......well ...... I thought it was.....wonder who has it now?    I thought I captured Tom Selleck pretty good.....well the dog came out pretty good.....miss painting, um....maybe I'll get busy ....daughter Patricia just painted a masterpiece;  a seascape and did a great job of it....

A favorite picture, has a special feeling all its own...one of my favorites.....it was a puzzle, not easy to do, but worth the effort.    The charm, the light, the feeling of all is well comes to mind.   Roses are red, violets are blue, but you have to admit the lowly daisy shines through!!!  smile!!! 

A new day coming, but not yet, it has to be all of five a.m. and the parking lot is pitch black, not one car moving in or out.  The lights are not on in the hospital wing ...nope...take that back, there is one room light on and the television is on as the blinds are open...another early bird.....well someone has to greet the first morning light....you...sleeping in.....um.....lucky you, smile!!

My first cup of coffee is long gone so I am going to love you and leave you and go for a refill, hunker down in my easy chair and watch the news and hope something good is on.... but .... right now it is political....oh dear......people calling in with their opinion and this particular fellow is very clear about how he feels.   The "Donald" must have very red ears this morning.....some like him, some do not.....some things never change...smile.

So, today is a good day to be happy.   Today is a good day to be generous.  Today is a good day to share YOU with those you like and love....SO!!!!  Go Share.....hugs to all.

A New Day!!!

If I had a bank account of any size that counted, I would send each of you a bouquet to make you smile, know you are loved and missed.

Not a bad way at all to send your daylight hours,  or even your night time hours...smile!!!

A new day, something good is about to happen....probably a little bitter with the sweet but we can handle anything....get up...get going....make today the best one yet.....you can do it.

I am off for a refill.....that first cup goes so fast.....hot black coffee...um......good for sending signals to the brain cells......but....it is pitch black out my window, not a sign of life, silence prevails;  a good time of morning as the first light is about to shine and a brand new day is in the offering.   I am thankful for a new day, old friends, a bit of company, something good to share and a hug or two;  a good way to start a brand new day.

I had a good day yesterday with drop in company, heard some old tales, some wishful thinking and got a hug, now that always 'makes my day'.

So get up and get going and make your day bright and beautiful, just like you....be someone who knows how to be a friend.....a few kind words, a hug or two, a knock on the door with a big coffee bun to share....yeah....life can be good if you decide to share you with those you like and love.    Go.....start your day with a surprise, a treat, a smile and a hug and you will be happy all day.

Time Out!!

Wishful thinking in pictures this morning.    A time to memory walk and relax as you wake up to a new day hopefully bright and beautiful...but....I find no reason to fault the rain when it falls....life is good.....relax....wake up, smell the roses and enjoy TODAY!!!

I am off for a refill.   I have laundry day.   I have things to do, an apartment to clean, no, pickup as the cleaning is done by a young lady who whisks through like it was a no nothing job;  experience tells...smile.  I own a duster or two but no heavy household brooms and brushes;  apartment living at its best....or....for one who does not mind doing housework, I miss it and like to make things shine.  Friday is cleaning day and chasing dust kitties is the name of the game....come on over I'll give you a chance to hold the dust mop...smile...yes, I heard you,you have one of your own....well......put it to good use...smile.

I did a little grocery shopping yesterday so got my exercise walking up and down the aisles.   There is a lot of 'wants' when you walk the aisles, but....and the but is a good one....prices keep you in line and the choices are for keeping you healthy and happy for the week;  with a little good stuff thrown in as calories do not count in store bought cookies....just do not have the pizzazz of homemade ones.  So, make your today a good one.   Share you with those you love and like;  find a bit of time for everyone who counts in your life;  not my fault you are so popular...smile!!    Get up, get going and make today special;  just like YOU!!!  As the old timers always said when we decided to be 'bored'...."Go out in the fresh air and live a little"....and they knew what they were talking about....so....get up, go out and make your today 'shine'.   Be happy!!  Stay 'in love' with the world in general and your special folks who do put up with you...smile.    Be one of 'the good guys' today and see just what you can accomplish ...um...hugs, smiles, a bit of love, laughter....it is all good....try it!!!

Odd Bits!

Good Morning to You!!!!  Good morning to you!!!   Put your shoes on and go for an early morning walk, get  a little exercise and fresh air, then back and cook up a healthy hardy breakfast.....'green eggs and ham'   or burned toast could be in the offering!!

There is nothing that says you cannot make a"Dagwood sandwich"....yum!!!

Remember how to do this?   Keep your hands busy while the eggs are cooking...smile!!

Well, here we are with a new day.....the night shades have not changed yet, much to early;   but, pretty soon the light will come and the shades will be up and the folks will be up and moving.   A new day....um...wonder what is in store for us today......time to shop, time to visit, time to wake up and smell the roses before they are long gone and the winter months show up in all their glory.    Got your winter clothing all aired?   Check out your boots and make sure they are waterproof....time to re do the closet and throw out the old and useless and buy some new winter duds that will keep you toasty and warm for your long winter walks....you do get out there and walk don't you?    Good to get up, get out in
 the fresh air and have a 'brisk' walk;  those slow lazy steps just wont do....you would get frost bite..smile.

I do hear from some folks who like to get up early and get going;  Jock is a prime example as he is already out the door, fishing pole in hand, and even gets 'the kid' up and out with him very early in the black of the early morning.   Fishing is important, no matter how old you are....wish them a good catch and some fun this morning.    I sometimes envy folks who know how to fish.  I never had the opportunity, wasn't offered it but then someone has to cook it....smile.    I think the difference is in where you grew up..city or country.  We live and learn, just think of the different life style if you would have had one more time to go around...smile!!!

So, today...be good, be kind, be generous....think BIG!!!!  Do something 'good' and brighten someones day . . . a hug, a smile, a treat....what a way to start your day..try it...you may find you really like it.....what is that old adage?   "One for the money, two for the show, three to get ready and GO"....SO!!!  Get going!!! October Faces!!

Get Ready....It is almost time.....Ghosts, Goblins, and screeching owls.

Time for a little witches brew!!!  or not...smile!!!

It is coming.  Halloween.....be patient....it is almost here!!!

Fun time, candy time, and October beams with delights of all kinds.    Dress up this year and surprise your neighbor;  just hope he or she does not call in the little men in white coats to carry you away.   I'm smiling as I remember a Halloween of some years back when a neighbor lady chased us off with her witches broom and sent us on our way.   She had had enough of trick or treat and decided it was lights out time....she had a pitcher of water in her hands when she opened her door...yes, we scattered quickly.....mean old witch!!!  smile!!!!

I had a ride uptown, or should I say downtown, yesterday.   Patricia and I decided to go and have lunch at one of our old haunts which is about  to close, or it seems to be. Not may of the business folks there now and the big surprise was the bakery closed  How can they close the only bakery in town?  Easy, I guess, maybe they are opening somewhere else.   Our town seems to be dying by neglect or disinterest, and it does not bode well.....don't like it, but if the folks do not buy local then the business folks need to move on...such a shame.  In my head are the words running around..."you.ll be sorry!"....

So, off I go for a refill.   I have a brand new day with lots of hours to fill.   What do I want to do?   Well, want is one thing...needs another...doing is what counts so I am off to get 'doing' or 'going' as the old expression claims.....and make my today a good one...join me, there is more than enough time and space for the two of us..smile.    Be good, be kind, be gentle,  love one another.....save a little for me, I am always needy...smile.   Hugs to all.

Leaves of Fall

Fall . . . Leaves . . . Natures beauties......crispy windblown leaves....Aah!!! Fall!!!  Winter is coming slowly it seems...how can I tell????  It is the wind blown leaves.    There are not a lot of trees here in our neighborhood so I cannot brag about walking through the leaves of Fall....but, I do walk up to the corner and back, stop by the parking area where the trees are plentiful and get to walk through a few of the wind blown leaves of Fall.....aah....life is good.

I am on the second cup of hot coffee;   I had a scrap of something sweet and am already sorry;  looks better than it tastes, if only I would remember that before I took the first bite...yuck......live and learn....four thirty is much to early to have breakfast..smile...well, some folks sleep in an then their are the 'us' of the crowd.
A quiet day planned.   I have a puzzle on the table coming along very slowly;  I have more of the book to read ...later.....;    Right now I am concentrating on saying good morning to you and wish you a beautiful day, all day.....as for me, I am going back to bed....four thirty , five a.m., um......and the clock did not stop....nor did it forge ahead...it is still 'night' time.....off for a snooze....I'll be back.  Hugs to all.

A New Day!

Falling leaves, winter is coming and the days grow shorter;  a new season;  a new reason to get up and get going;  time to live a little;  time to finish up those beginning chores that you set for yourself;  the season changes , shorter days, longer nights...um......sounds good to me.

one is never to busy to stop and offer up thanksgiving for the wonders we receive each and every day.....life for one....health for another....someone to have and to hold...um.....how lucky we are.

Helping hands.....what did you think you had them for????  Get busy!!

Coffee.....aah.......oh so good, hot and just what is needed to wake up and start a new day.  I have not opened the blinds, it is probably a little after five a.m., but I will.....when I get through sipping my hot coffee and open the other eye!!

There is nothing, I can think of, that is better than a hot cup of coffee to sip and help one wake up. The computer is on, the e mails read and friends have dropped in by mail to tell a little of their story of the week.  Some are content, some not, some healthy, some not;   some want the world with a fence around it, a the old timers would say, and others are just content....life goes on, each has their own tale to tell.   I'm listening.  I'm smiling as everyone I know and love and like are busy making 'hay while the sun shines'  and busy....the key word in making your world go around.

Today is Monday, all day, the start of a new week.   Yesterday, Sunday, was a gallery day, a visit to watch the judging of the new show that was, and is, fantastic.  Our local artists proved once again how talented they really are.   The pictures created are truly wonderful;  each a masterpiece in its own right.   Such talented artists who are more than willing to share their talents while making it look easy;   try painting a pictures and see what it does take the stand back and admire your masterpiece.  Come to think of it, you may be a lot more talented than you think......today, create a masterpiece of your own...fun and productive, a good way to be at the start of your new week.

How are you going to use all you seconds this week?    Think about that and make a plan or two;  a back up one at least..smile!!   Be sure you include a lot of loving in your week;  some folks need a little more than others.  You have more than enough to share so get busy and be as magnificent as one of the paintings and show those you are closest to just how much you really do love them.   You have your work cut out for you today;   get busy;   go...be YOU and share.  Hugs to all.

Sunday All Day!!!

Good morning.   Only one eye open, working on the other, have coffee in hand...aah, it should wake me up.   We are off today for a fun day and I have already had one of the ladies knock on my door to say she is not going...wonder why she didn't wake up the leader of our fun day out today....going for a ride to a casino today and play our pennies and have lunch out, don't know if there is a buffet or not but we are about to have a fun day and find out.

I had my first FALL card from a friend today;  a lovely young lady I have known for many years, and, one I not only admire but love.    Alanda, isn't that a lovely name for a lovely lady.   Her dad and I were best buddies for years, so she got to spend some fun times as we found places to go and things to do to keep ourselves sane and happy.    I am sure she misses her dad, I know I do as we were 'neighbor buddies' and if you do not have one, I suggest you get busy and make one as your life will be filled with a little extra love and laughter.

One of our ladies just knocked on my door to say she is not joining us this morning.   She has had a change of heart and the casino is not one of her favorite places to go.  There are some of us that like to play the machines.  I like to play the Keno machine and play with numbers in hopes that one time I will get the right combination and 'win a big one';   what is that old adage???? A fool and his money are soon parted......

So I am off to have my first cup of coffee, wake up, wait for my ride and off I go for a time out with the ladies and some fun in the sun.....wish me luck.....a hamburger out if I win ...left overs if I do not....smile!!!!

Age!!

and today is the beginning of a beautiful Fall day. . . a day to be out and about, or, if that doesn't register on your calendar, maybe a calm day to rest and relax and catch up on some of your reading....or...maybe invite some friends in this afternoon and have a gab feast or something sweet and special , just plan a day that will keep you healthy and happy.    "That's what friends are for."  . . . smile.

It is dark out in the parking area, so dark I cannot see any of the parked cars.  I do see the light and television of one of the rooms across the macadam showing the television is on and the owner is sitting in an easy chair enjoying the early morning news.  My television is not on , first things first...computer, and a good morning to friends.  

I was at the Gallery last evening helping to complete a few paper chores that I can do for the girls.   I do have office experience...smile.....and it never leaves the brain.  The hands may be slower but still move so there is no excuse not to be of help, besides, I enjoy it.  I spent some time folding the news letter and getting it ready to mail out.   I don't know how many, maybe a hundred or so, but an easy task and it does help the ladies keep up with the members.....and it keeps me out of mischief.    It was open house and a new show.  The art work is really worth a trip to the gallery so if you are close bye be sure you save some time to stop in and peruse.    I have said it before, and will probably say it again, we do have some very talented artists in this town.    It is good to see the families come;  the children are well behaved and really seem to enjoy looking at all the art work.   I wonder how many will be influenced into becoming artists in their own right.   I bet a few.   So...as the old adage goes...."a good time was had by all."

A weekend here already....hopefully a ride out.  I will be happy to treat the ladies to lunch out;  they may read the blog and come up with a likely suggestion ...one can hope...ha.ha....hint, hint, hint.....so I am off to get a refill for my morning coffee and wake up the brain.  I have a tendency to move slowly in the mornings as I really do not have any special plans for the day.    Whatever comes, comes, and I will make the best of it.  A dropped hint now and then does get results...smile.

So be a good friend today and enjoy the company of someone you love or even like....be a friend today....be a harbinger of light and love....make your world a lovely place to be in and share YOU with those you like and love.    Plan lunch out, maybe a ride to your favorite far away restaurant and enjoy a Fall day, falling leaves, misty and a bit of sunshine thrown in....a day to build memories, go....have fun and enjoy today!!  Hugs to all.

Sky!!

This picture is the closest I could find to what I can see out of my window;  ignore the street and I am looking at pink clouds, a parking lot filled with parked cars, no lights on in the hospital wing and a few workers ambling by.   A new day....hopefully a sunshine day with a little warmth and a chance to walk out and see how the other half lives.    I hope to go for a walk later, check on the falling leaves and pine cones and give the feet and legs some exercise.   At this age you cannot win...either you don't feel like walking out or sitting gets to much and you have to get up and motivate..smile.....one of those damned if you do and damned if you don't situations...we all have them in the course of a day....what to do with those feelings is something else again...ignore them, grab a good book and sit down..smile!!

A fellow on his motorcycle is shining his light into the windows of the hospital wing, must be going to visit and is announcing his arrival. Sure makes a lot of noise for so early in the morning, bet he gets a talking to when he gets inside...

So we have a new day....doesn't that make you sit up and take notice???  It should and you must make up your mind what you want to do and do it....I need a walk around the grocery store as the larder is getting very low....there is nothing 'good' in this house....ha,ha, the proverbial cry of those looking for something sweet.   Vinnie and Lois came to visit yesterday and Vinnie brought some grapes which are huge and very tasty.    We had a great visit, a lot of laughs and it was almost dinner time before we realized the afternoon had disappeared.  That's what it takes...good company, lots of laughter and a hug or two.    Friends......a lovely word,   a great concept on what is good for the mind and the soul.  

A first....a white American Service Medicare bus type automobile is parked across at the hospital wing...haven't seen it before....looks new , all white with blue lettering and a box type roof.   Wonder what services are offered...if any.  so much we don't know....hopefully I'll stay healthy and not have to find out.  

So, that is all of the news of today.  I have to turn on the TV and find out what has transpired in the night.   Hopefully there will be a good word or two, it does get a bit hairy hearing all the bad news all of the time...somewhere, someone must be doing something worthwhile ..something good and bright and beautiful for a change....life is meant to live, to share, to care and to be all you can be....this hunkering in the mud should change;  think it is called attitude....so work on your attitude today...See what you can do to make someone you love shine ...you can do it...so be a harbinger of love today....it takes a little swing in the step, a smile in the eyes, arms that open and close with a hug.....um....hugs...what a nice word...better feeling though...so ...get busy and hug a lot today...make your world a bright and beautiful place today....go...be YOU.  Hugs to all.

Reflections

Good Morning.  It must be all of five a.m., maybe not even that, but I am awake sitting here at the computer wondering what words will meet and greet you for the new day.  At this moment it is pitch black out there in the courtyard, not a creature stirring, no lights on in the hospital wing and my curtains are up and I am looking at blackness, can't see anything as the little yard light doesn't throw much light and who in their right mind would be up and out at this time of the morning....around five a.m. I think. ... Haven't looked at the clock, don't want to be awakened yet so if I don't look at time it wont catch up with me...smile.

A new day, wonder what is in store for each one of us.    Hopefully something good;  something fun;  something that makes our world a happy place, or at least leads us in that direction.    If we start with a good thought, a good deed or two, life will treat us right;  be grumpy, growl, scowl and you will get just what you deserve....so put on a happy face and get going..there is much to be done today.  Visit the sick;   share a cup of tea or coffee and stop at the bakery and bring something tasty along with you when you stop in to get a morning hug.  

So join me with a cup of good hot coffee, cocoa if you prefer but much too sweet for me....tea is good but I like my tea in the afternoon, three seems to be just right to stop and sip.  I had tea company yesterday, Ron stopped in and shared a few words.    Most of the folks here are from the country and have tales to tell about farm living.  I am city bred so it is always interesting to hear what they did as youngsters and now I know where some folks got their work efforts....on a farm you just don't sit..smile.    I love to hear the stories and it does them good to reminiscence.  

So today is a new day.  I have no idea what is in store for me, but I am about to find out.    I hope your day is a 'good' one and you do the things you love to do with the folks you love  and share your seconds with.   Make good use of your seconds and share YOU with those you love and like.    Be a good Samaritan and chalk up some points in the big book so when you get there the gate will open...as for me....um.....I am sure I will find some mischief to get into....now to find out who is interested in joining me....I'll go find out...meanwhile YOU have a great day, all day....be good, be kind, be gentle and share your love of living with those you love and like....if you are close by, stop in and I'll give you a hug and share a cup of tea with you...bring goodies, there is nothing good in this house.....smile.....well we ate it all yesterday....strange how sweet things just don't last!!  Have a 'good one' and share your seconds with those you love and like....I can always use a hug....smile.....hint, hint!!!!

October!!!

And the birds and bees want to partake of the holiday season...it starts with Halloween and we are about to head in that direction....food, fun and children dressed to scare you...ghosts and goblins...fun...smiles....all the dentists in town are smiling....somewhere there are October fests on going and there is dancing and music and laughter;  not a bad way to celebrate the beginning of Fall and the start of the holiday season.  It doesn't seem it is that time of year, but it is, and.....oh well, we join in the fun and make the best of things and start thinking about what we can do to help make the season beautiful and bright....treats....we all like treats....all kinds....sweet and or otherwise..smile.  Keep in mind that it is up to YOU to make the upcoming holidays special, so list time.  Time to listen to conversations about wishes....there is always a hint or two of what is needed if you listen closely.    And...it is never to early to start shopping;  sale time in many of the stores, a good time to shop for those expensive items that are marked down for a short time...go..get some things before the prices go up and up....but in the meantime take time to check the cupboards and see what you do or do not have and what is needed to make your holiday special;  just like YOU!!

It is not time to say you are not in the mood....get with it.....make your family and friends feel the special feelings of holidays....include some of the folks who have had 'things' happen this past year and need a reason to smile....be good, be kind, be generous with YOU.....make the world a better place for those who have little or nothing;  be generous to a fault....why not???  You like to share and we are coming into the time when YOU are needed more than ever for you are blessed with a good and loving heart.    Those months....October, November, December seem to hover and ready to spring into action whether we are ready or not...so get ready...."making a list, checking it twice..."  la, la,.....all I need now is money honey....smile.....and time to shop....go.....make your lists.....be good, be kind, be YOU.  Hugs to all.

Good Morning!!

I bet you didn't know I had my picture taken with a Mickey Mouse Pumpkin head!!!!!  I really haven't changed much!!!   With age comes beauty...so I've been told.....I'm waiting!!!

A new day...wonder what is in store for us....the morning news is filled with terror and bad news;  some mornings it is an effort to turn on the television....the mind and the heart and the soul find it hard to absorb all the terror news....there must be some place where there is something good going on;   we just have to be patient and find it.    Life is for living.  According to the morning news it is  more like ugliness and terror are the name of the game.     So today, be a goody two shoes....look for some deeds to do that will help your fellowman, neighbor, friend, get through a new day without mishap.....it is possible with YOUR help....we always can use a  'shoulder' to 'cry' on....smile.  
Well the cars are parked, the workers busy with the early morning routines and quiet abounds.  A new day, hopefully a good one for those who are in the hospital wing.   It cannot be good to have health problems and we are lucky to be pain free...well being a pain in  the 'arse' is normal, so that does't count.  Go....have yourself a busy day and you will be happy.    Busy is good.     If you cannot find something you want to do, then find something that has to be done and get it over with.   The sooner the better and then you can go play....invite a friend for lunch.....go for a walk and scramble the fallen leaves.....laugh out loud and free yourself from that hang dog look and smile....be YOU....be a friend....be a lover....um.....sounds good to me.   I'm off for a refill and  to  open the drapes and let the early morning grey skies fill my window....actually there is a lot of pink in the sky this morning, very pretty and that little dark grey cloud doesn't seem to hold much terror for a rainy day.....our beautiful colorful sky is going to usher in a brand new beautiful day...aah....and you thought I was going to complain.....Go....be good....be wonderful....be YOU.

September Endings!

A short walk up the street to an huge parking lot surrounded by trees and bushes gives leave to walking through the dried leaves, carrying a few colorful ones home and bring a little of Fall indoors. Crunchy windblown leaves...aah!!!  what's not to like!!

a truism.....today...a good day to listen to your heart and do a good deed or two.

and some folks think leaves are ugly;   hope they open their eyes and really look as nature presents us with some awesome beauty if we take time to really look.

A new Fall day, to early for sunshine but it is coming our way.    The silence of early morning is refreshing, does the heart and the soul good go just sit and listen to silence....comforting.   The cars are parked, everyone has a chosen spot and everyone seems to know it.   The blinds are not open in all of the hospital wing windows, but there is one early riser whose blinds are open and the television is on.  AND, the hot coffee awakens the brain and the appetite, making me wonder what I'd like for breakfast...ham and eggs would be nice;  a piece of toast is what I'll probably get...smile.

A new day, hopefully filled with love and laughter.   A walk out might be a good idea,  a ride to  Manchester for lunch suits my mood better but no takers so far..its early...I might be in for a surprise or two.  I had an 'in' day yesterday, caught up on a lot of paper work...balancing the check book and that kind of stuff....some one used the word 'spread' with money.....wish they would tell me the secret as mine seems to disappear before the half way mark of a month.....cannot imagine where it goes....well, if I give it a little thought I really do know.....I think I need a raise.  The old timer would say learn to budget but squeezing that buffalo isn't all that easy...unless you know of a way and share it so we can all be rich retirees.....what's that....'live in hope and die in despair", um.....have to find a way around that ....if you know the answer, share it....then I can afford to join you for lunch.

Day dreaming about riches does not get me a refill, so I'll love you and leave you for today and go get some hot coffee to sip.....aah....the morning picker upper, beats tea every time....ha,ha...bet I hear from the tea drinkers on that comment.    Tea is good, about three p.m. with a cookie or two...come...I have some and I'll share.

I cannot think of a nicer or a better way to share ones feelings.....Hugs are good for your health...Hugs are good no matter when.....Hugs are just plain G O O D!!! If you have one to spare, send one along, I can always use one.

The weekend is here...how did it get here so fast?   Have you notice how time flies whether you are having fun or not....it just disappears in the wink of an eye.    Well, wake up and smell the roses;  get up, get out and get going and enjoy each second of your day.

The weekend is here;  time to relax after your busy week.   A good day for a hike, a fishing trip or for those who love indoors, rather than outdoors, find yourself a spot in the sunshine, or the shade if you prefer and do a little lazing....read awhile, walk around your garden, pull a weed or two.... or....just enjoy the day and do a lot of nothing special.....be lazy today.  So......I am off to refill my coffee cup, turn on the TV for some news of the day and wait and see what this day has in store for me....an invitation for beans and hot-dogs.....a walk out to the corner and back.....a tea party to open the new tin of cookies....or a quiet read for an hour or so....I have all kinds of thoughts and deeds, now to put one to good use..smile.    Enjoy your seconds today.  Make today a 'good' one;  do a good deed or two and be sure you tell someone you love just how much you do love them and share a hug or two...or three...the more the better.   It isn't always easy to write an interesting blog every day but....the fun is in the trying...so know that I care, know that I want good health and a bit of wealth to come your way and know I love to see that smile when you see me coming...that is a special bouquet in life.  Go be YOU and have yourself a great day, all day.  Hugs to all.

New Day!

I think we have a bit of gypsy in all of us;  at least the desire to be 'different', "useful", "loving", and ready to take on our day with one hand behind us...the old folks use to say that...never did find out what it really meant....did you?   

we know this....easier said than done......but we are on the right path so maybe we will make it today....the fun is in the trying!!   Try....try hard and succeed.   

and we don't need permission, it comes with our territory...smile!!

A new day, wonder what is in store for us.    Right now it is pitch black outside, only one light in the hospital wing but then it is only around five a.m. and not many are up and moving.   I have had my first cup of coffee....off for a refill and then I will be able to share a word or two with you.

Not a lot of new news.  I had a ride to the Casino yesterday and had some fun playing the keno machine trying to find the magic numbers to hit a big one.....not yesterday....not my turn.....but then I don't think I have a turn coming..smile.    It was fun. while it lasted, paid my dues and had a lovely ride back in the sunshine.  I had an invitation to go again today as some of the ladies have planed  a trip today...but...I'd have to rob a bank to join them..and I am not up to that today....smile.

Summer weather is leaving, you can feel it in the air.   The Fall weather is beginning to take over and the leaves on the trees are turning beautiful colors.   I am not sure if I just like looking at them or walking in them...love the beginnings of a new season.    So, I have my coffee gone and need a refill.   I have some TV news to watch and then off to get dressed and get busy in my new day.   There is little or nothing planned ...but...it is early;  I'll think of something.    I hope your day is a 'good' one and you find things to do to make you smile.   Sharing is caring so share YOU with those you like and love today.....be 'a goody two shoes' and smiling eyes make the world a much better place.....so go....be good, be kind, be gentle and most of all 'loving'...and what 'goes around, comes around'  Share YOU and make 'hay while the sun shines';   be a lover today.....a lover of friends, a lover of good books, a lover of sunshine and long walks, it starts with the arms and ends with a hug and the day begins anew....make it the best yet....be YOU, be Loving, be all that you can be....enjoy today!!

Good Morning!!  How are you this morning?  I hope bright eyed and bushy tailed as the old saying goes.....a new day....what are you going to do with it???
I have been up awhile, opened the blinds to a parking lot filled with parked cars as the workers are in the hospital wing helping those who cannot help themselves.  What would we do without our helpers?  Hope we never have to find out.   It takes a special person to be a nurse and lucky for each of us that we have some folks dedicated to that profession.   There should be a 'nurses day' to help celebrate them for all they do;  not an easy job by a long shot.

There are soft pink clouds hovering above the trees this morning...a beautiful sight to see and a few of the window shades are up in the hospital wing, tv on, and hopefully a good day for the patient just tuning in to a new day.

There is a new sport like car in the parking lot, parked right in front of my window.  It looks like what we used to call a 'coup' and it has an off white body with a tan, almost brown roof top, the black and the grey cars on either side have no personality after looking at that one.   I wonder if the top goes down....it looks like it should.   So, as you can see, I am rambling...smile....nothing much to tell you with the exception that we did fill bags for Ladies Night Out at the Gallery last evening and had delicious pizza, good company and a lot of laughs.    We do good work, even if I do say so myself.

BOO!!!!

I think I am in this kind of a mood this morning...not awake...first sip of coffee...aah!!!  pitch black outside, nothing moving and I am not really and truly awake....yet...working on it....coffee....coffee...aah!!!

A new day!!!  Early morning silence;  good for the soul!!

I am thinking I need a tree this size to tell the life story...maybe I'll write a book.....maybe has a nice ring to it....at this late age there are still a few tales to tell....but should they be told???  Smile.

Good morning.  How are you this fine morning?   I think I am fine, not quite awake yet, one eye open, coffee....aah...has not kicked in yet but working on it.    The trouble with getting this age is the memory changes from containing all kinds of 'stuff' to wondering what day and time it really is....ninety what??? oh, you really don't need to know....just take my word for it that time has a way of sneaking up on you.  I heard somewhere, at some time, that the memory banks overflow so we do all become authors before the brain dims and relish the chance to unload the brain with awesome tales to tell of a lifetime.  Amazing how clear and full the brain is as you 'age' and a million memories are ready to spill over and entertain a new generation.    The picture is a tree of life each branch a twig a story all its own.   We all have a 'tree of life' but will we take time to write our stories  Each one has a tale to tell.   Um....are you ready to tell yours?

Today is a good day to start a new chapter in your life.   If you have not caught up with yourself, today is a good day to start.    Pour a cup of hot coffee, tea or cocoa or your favorite beverage and think . . . pen in hand, paper waiting to be filled with words of wisdom and truths or fables . . . the choice is yours.    a life tale...go back in memory and relive a few of those awesome moments and share them with those you like and love.    Be an author.   You know you always wanted to write a book;  now is the time..."to come to the aid of their party"...ha,ha,  couldn't  resist!!

So.....I am off for a refill,   shake up a few thoughts and finish my blog.....you really did not want to know all the 'stuff' anyway......maybe I'll write that 'epic' ...the one from rags to rags...never could find the riches....well that is not really true as I have five favorite treasures I wouldn't trade for anything and a couple of 'grands' that are awesome.....rich is hardly the right word for all that!!!

So today is a good day beginning right now.   A refill, some TV news , get dressed and out the door for a new adventure...wish you were here to join me, think of the fun we would have.....now let me see....wonder who is willing to get into a little mischief today????  Um......I'll go find out.  Hugs to all.
